F124 PlayStation 5 VR with Quest 3

I heard rumours that PC players are able to play F1 24 in VR with Quest 3. Since PlayStation 5 is more than capable to achieve this, will they support this too? I don't have an expensive computer, but I do like to experience the F1 VR on my Quest 3.

    What are you saying?

quest 3 isn’t compatible with ps5, psvr2 is and they are not going to support it

I've seen some talk that a Quest 3 might be able to be used with a PS5 via remote play only? No idea if this might be technically possible with F1 24 or not but it's not officially supported. I'd also worry that even if it technically 'worked' that the performance would be so horrible that it may as well not.

  • I don't understand why there isn't PSVR 2 support. Why PC, Sony are releasing an adapter in august to allow PC user to use the PSVR 2. EA have missed a huge chance to bring native PlayStation support

@Mattyc_17   If any game was going to have PSVR2 support it would be Sonys upcoming Astro bot.   And it’s not.   PSVR2 sales are so bad Sony have given up on it

Team Asobi (Astro Bot creators) came out and said that this latest game was always intended to be for flat PS5, long before PSVR2 came out. It's not that they had no faith in PSVR2, it was never meant to be played on it and not a game which you can make a hybrid version of it for. It's either fully flat or fully VR. Astro Bot Rescue Mission on PSVR1 required interactions with the environment using your headset and dodging things with your head, along with standing up or looking around or looking underneath the world to find the hidden astro bots you had to rescue.

For Astro Bot to come to PSVR2, it will need to be a dedicated game or collection of levels. That could come one day, but I don't see the lack of Astro Bot so far as a slap to PSVR2. They just happened to start developing a flat version of the game long before PSVR2 came out.
