Fanatec Podium F1 issue 1.7 - PS5

I’ve only noticed this issue after the 1.7 patch. On the fanatec Podium F1 wheel on PS5, on certain occasions the wheel loses all FFB + the wheel rotation becomes very slow, slower than my inputs on my physical wheel. Furthermore my pad vibrates as though I’m using it when I’m not touching it. It seems the game is picking up my pad as the input device rather than my wheel even though it’s picking up button and pedal inputs.

  • @folaawe so when you start the game make sure your wheel is connected and turned on but the controller should be turned off

  • @folaawe Im sure you have probably tried this already but do you start the game with both the controller and wheel switched on? If so, make sure you only have 1 active device otherwise it can impact on steering as i had a similar issue

@Cpayne32 Thanks for the suggestion! I will try this. So to be clear I should only turn on the wheel once I’ve already started the game?

Ahh I see, I’ll give that a go. How do you get sound from the headset?

I use a wired one at the moment, which is why I keep the controller on.

I’ve been doing some research and it seems I have a slight stick drift which it causing the pad to take over steering input. With that being the case, I don’t think this is a bug (and would explain why no one else is having the issue) I’ll invest in some wireless headphones so I can turn off the pad. Thanks so much for your help.

While I have your attention 😅, any chance you could get codemasters to add more flags to add more flags to the game? My country Nigeria is missing and I’m sure many other nations where F1 is popular
