Honestly the biggest thing is reducing ranked multiplayer to 5 lap races.

No more strategy for tyres, no rewarding consistency over many laps and managing tyre wear or fuel load. 

It's turned multiplayer into a desperate sprint race, everyone divebombs to try and get ahead ASAP, no chance to recover from even small mistakes, no pitstops or alternate strategies to make things exciting. It's the biggest negative change and I don't understand why it was done.
