Probably going to be an unpopular take... but I'd just like to point out that any changes made to the car have to be approved by the team, which means someone over at Maranello listened to the new engine sound and said it was better than the original one. So like it or not Ferrari themselves gave approval on it.
I don´t like these "iracingish" screams from nowhere. Probably nobody, but it doesn´t matter, because we are not sitting in a real F1 car, we are just playing a !GAME! on a PC, PS5 or XBOX console. That´s it. The only feedback we are getting from driving the car with wheel and pedals from the cockpit view is VISUAL MOTION and SOUND. That´s the reason why the sound environment matters most, like it or not, but it´s not about "REAL LIFE EXPERIENCE". Most of the players aren´t interested in it, beucase they know the truth: it is a game... The discussion here is about improvements they are important for players and the reason is very simple indeed: get the most comfortable experience, especially from the cockpit view. Over and Out...
