Gearbox problem

Without turning the gearbox assist off, there isn’t any real fix to this as its how the system has been set. I understand it is frustrating though

First a question: Have you programmed the gear buttons to be something else? Are they double assigned?

Otherwise re-set the controller you are using re-assigning all the controls. I have had to do that once in awhile for no apparent reason. It’s a very bizarre game in its inconsistency.
