Genuine Question

Are you working on getting the Old Handling back or what are you guys doing? Many People including me doesnt enjoy the Game. I want to make sure that you Developers read all of our Concern and wishes. I see too many People, Friends, Streamer and esports people dont enjoying the Game at all. Please. In my Opinion only the Brake and the Tyres improved. As for the Brake Part im changing for corners the Front brake Bias so i dont lock up that much. It still requires some skill if you play with your own setup.

@EA_Vendcera its a Important and deciding part for the Future.

  • @IShadic It's highly unlikely they go back to the original handling model. While you might like it better there were obviously plenty of people who disliked it that they felt they need to change it in the first place. So, all they would be doing by going back to it is swapping around who's happy and who's not.

That said, I do believe that there and more handling updates planned. I forget what thread it was in, but I believe Groguet mentioned that this was the first of several updates coming to the handling model. Then of course the primary point of the 1.3 Handling Feedback thread is to collect player feedback for the next handling update.

In short, I do expect the handling model to continue to change, but it won't be back to the original one.

I really hope they make it more responsive cause im not a Esports driver hence i dont wanna play with Esports setups just to have some Oversteer and random grip where i cant feel it. The game sure had his flaws but i say this was the best Launch where i had the most fun with up to date. They could work a little on the AI Balance, the Brakes were fine and the Car was predictable and you could feel what happens. This all is gone away rn. I know people who driven F1 cars and they can also Confirm the way of turning and grip is pretty much crazy. Lando had a Moment also in Montreal that turning that got called "Unrealistic" Lando did this quick turning snap in the rain and still got out with no Problems in the Wet. Esports Player will always be fast and find a way to abuse the Handling so they can go fast as possible if something is different they call it weird. But a Casual Player will play clean, maybe with his own setup if he has the knowledge to do so and dont drive the the absolute Limit also like a esports person would ever do. The majority is just bigger for the casuals than the esports and people will only drive that fast as their skillset will allow. For my Personal i can drive and beat real time poles laps in every f1 game no Matter what physic. And esports Player will always be fast.

I do appreciate you giving a Good answer i thank you for this. I dont need the Bickering of the most. Of course theres people who likes the new handling but from what i see and hear the Old Handling was liked by more people than the New handling is liked by people.

@TheRagebeard I do hope EA tries to go back and get some input from F1 drivers - or even F1 staff who work on the individual teams' simulators. The staff could be helpful in reviewing the handling.

Thats why they brought for F1 2020 many F1 drivers and Max Verstappen and his Team for F1 24 but yeah.

@IShadic I agree. I would prefer that the e-sports drivers had less input into the game as their skill level and playing style is not representative of the wider population. Just in general, I think the gaming industry has an unhealthy obsession of catering to Youtubers, Streamers, and E-sports stars. But they're "influencers" and they help push product, so companies keep enabling them.

@dwin20 While it would be nice to get feedback from real F1 teams right now, I'm sure it's a lot easier to do during the offseason when they're not as busy. I don't know how receptive Christian Horner would be if EA showed up at the Spanish GP and said "Hey do you mind if we borrowed Max for a bit?" Maybe I'm wrong, perhaps it's written into the sponsorship agreement that he has to make time for them if asked.

@TheRagebeard That is why I was suggesting staff dealing with the simulators who would have a good sense of actual handling. I believe there are seven teams that are based either full or in part in England - so within geographic range of Codemasters. So while it would nice to have Max review it - there are simpler alternatives. Having a staffer look at it would be good for F1 as this is the official game - and helping out would be good for both.

The thing is some F1 Engineer Staff said the Simulators have also way less Grip than the Real F1 Cars. Let alone that Max has Developed and gave his Feedback to the DEVS as a Good Sign normally.

  • @IShadic The pre-Patch handling was way too grippy, especially the front of the car was way too sensitive and responsive and didn’t line up with the rear. In real life you can have a very snappy car but that requires sole extreme sacrifices more towards the rear which wasn’t being correlated in the game.

What they need to work on at the moment is the weight transfer in the car which is abit off and should help with a more predictable balance and further reduce the grip of the front tyres as it’s still abit too peaky

Monza run off isnt doable in any F1 game. With the Pre Patch it was doable. Easiest Reference to take.
