Hey @yeahmk
First of all, I wanted to thank you for your report. I have escalated this to the game team.
Secondly, I would like to remind you to keep your tone less aggressive.
Thank you,
-Groguet
That wasn't aggressive....
You have to understand that some players paid up to £89.99 for this game, and it has fallen well below the standards we expect. It's frustration, disappointment and an enormous sense of feeling ripped off and taken for granted. This is the official EA Answers HQ, right? One of the only place where we can voice an opinion and hope that it get's heard.
We never hear from the devs. It feels like our feedback is falling on deaf ears. Scroll the forum and it's rare to find anything other than frustration and complaints.
Stop accusing people of being aggressive and start trying to use your role as "Community Manager" to bridge that gap between player voice and the development team, and maybe some progress can be made here!
- ScarDuck142 years agoLegend@SDGMatt Groguet works tirelessly getting ALL our issues addressed by the Dev Team. He’s along with Vendcera are by far the best CMs we’ve had on these boards since the forums were moved here. I get the frustration I’m just as frustrated as everyone and voice my frustration often to my own detriment. But please don’t direct your frustrations at Grogeut and Vendcera. I promise you they are doing all they can to help. Unfortunately ultimately decisions are not made by them.
- SDGMatt2 years agoSeasoned Ace@ScarDuck14 I'm sure they do work tirelessly, but the member did not use an aggressive tone, and accusing them of doing so is not very nice or empathetic to people's frustrations. As I said, people have been charged £89.99 for this game. It's not a small independent studio release for £39.99.... It's a premium priced game and players have every right to expect a standard of game that reflects that and a Community Manager must consider that and take some of the criticism on the chin...
I've been playing this series since F1 2010, and use this forum regularly. In the old days we had a lot of Dev interaction and feedback, especially from Paul Jeal and Stephen Hood. There was always some negative feedback and bug complaints, but they were great at jumping on here and providing some explanation and guidance. These days there is little to no communication. The standard of the game is falling rapidly, but the price tag goes up! The bug reporting section is choc-full of the same old issues that have been in the game's for years, and players are fed up with hearing "thanks for your feedback, it's been passed on" because we never see a fix for it and we never hear an explanation or reassurance from the team.
If someone want's to carry the tag "Community Manager" then they should expect to take on some of the negativity and frustration. They should be going to the people above them and raising these issues and demanding more gets done. They need to be asking the dev team to come on here and talk to the players. It's all about communication and they have improve!
This place is awful to read through at the moment. Nobody is talking positively about the game. Sales are poor, players are unhappy! It's not good enough!- ScarDuck142 years agoLegend@SDGMatt I don’t disagree with almost everything you say. And both groguet and Vendcera know they are going to front and centre off our frustrations. But having talked with both at length when i was a “Champion”. I know they genuinely want to help us and help make the game better and believe me would obviously prefer a forum that was happier and better place to be. EA manage their forums differently to Codemasters and thats unfortunate

Hey there @SDGMatt
I 100% understand players' frustrations. I am a player myself and I understand how disappointing it is when something is not working as expected.
However, saying things like "What's the matter with you?" or "This has to be a joke" is far from positive/constructive.
Any type of feedback is well received. I am open to listening to positive and negative feedback as long as it is communicated appropriately and politely and within the forum Rules & Guidelines.
@yeahmk's message is not rude and it doesn't break any rules, but I wouldn't qualify it as moderate or constructive feedback either.
Anyway, there's no reason to deviate from the original conversation, I have already escalated this issue to the game team.

- SDGMatt2 years agoSeasoned Ace@EA_Groguet That is the level of frustration that you get when someone who spends up to £89.99 on a game snaps and has enough of the awful quality being given to us, along with the feeling that we are just not being communicated with! It may not come across as polite, but you have to understand that this is what happens when the players feel so ripped off!
Have you noticed that the Bug Reporting section has over 800 topics. That's more than the other sections combined. This is not a cheap or averaged priced game. Infact it's one of the most expensive games on the market, and the quality does not reflect that one bit!
Ive seen so many questions raised in a polite and constructive manner that go ignored and get buried on here, and yet this one got your attention. Perhaps this persons abrupt mannerism did the trick!- 2 years ago@SDGMatt Not excusing the game's quality or anything, but this is happening more and more as patches are seen as the norm in the industry, I can't condone this practice any longer, game quality should not be taking the hit just because in PS3 era onwards you could update the game with patches.
I genuinely think it's high time developers are given enough time to make the game as polished as possible so when it launches there's no major issues. I have seen fundamental functionality bugs that should've been picked up on when play-testing and sorted out, it shouldn't really have to be the consumers' job to find them honestly and they're wondering why we're fed up and not buying it in droves anymore, EA have put the price up and we have less customisation options and frankly a game that has over 800 known topic in the Bug Report section.
One user of 'Aarava' was doing career mode on video and he overtook his team-mate (Lando) because he was told by Mark that Lando had mechanical issues, next second literally it triggered a team-order to let Lando back past because he was 'faster'. I think he's getting fed up with it as well, to be honest. I have only done until Australia and I'm just trying to fine-tune my setups for the tracks and adapt these for race trim, but I just don't have the motivation for it right now.
