Interesting live players charts
Hey guys,
i felt that barely anybody is playing F1 24, its not that easy to find good lobbies, most leagues havent even started due to the issues of the game and F1 World feels dead as well.
So i checked the Steam Charts (only PC) and compared them to previous F1 at the same stage of their respective cycles.
what i saw stunned me. F1 24 peaked on 8.000 players. current 24h peaks barely make it over 4.000. its clearly visible that almost day by day the players drop even further. While last week and before the game comfortably peaked at 4.500 players during the day its now barely over 3.000...
and if you compare that to F1 23 its almost frightning. F1 23 peaked at 15.000 players. In the first 5 weeks after the release the 24h peaks all had over 8.000-10.000 players. Interestingly as well is that F1 23 still peaks at 2.500 EVERY DAY!
If we go back even further to F1 22 and F1 2021 the numbers keep increasing (covid as well). F1 22 had a 24h peak average in the first 5 weeks of around 15.000 players and more. So its fair to say F1 lost 2/3 of its playerbase in less than 2 years.
Here is the link to the steam charts. Its only PC but the numbers dont lie and its a really good indicator for games and their popularity. Also the share of F1 sales on PC has not changed in the last years.

After looking at this I think some heads are about to roll at EA or CM. I dont know but from EAs position their strange investment has not payed out one bit as of yet. And I also believe that this might actually be the nail in the coffin for competitive racing in F1 games.
GG EA.
