no "restart session" warning screen

when using a controller, steering wheel or basically anything else, it can easily happen that you accidentally click "restart session" instead of "race director" or another button. why is there no "do you really want to restart the session?" screen? it just resets your right back to the start of the session without any warning, and there is no way to revert that.
