Re: F1 24 sales down by 44%? Sales must be going well...

I think the problem is that the focus is not where it needs to be. F1 world is the game mode we didn’t ask for.

My hopes are that it goes for next game because having f1 world, driver career, my team (needs improvements) and Braking point 3 (assuming the 2 year life cycle is the same) is not going to end well

the EGO engine needs to be thrown out and moved to the unreal engine too

I prefer F1 World over Braking point. Honestly my biggest focus is on 2 player career and would also welcome 2 players My Team.. but F1 World is awesome

They deserve to be down on sales by 44%. Charging people top price for a rushed copy and paste game, without testing it and a disastrous handling model and the worst AI ever is not acceptable.

Add in the complete lack of customisation and the blatant ignorance to not even acknowledge the huge amount of requests for more basic and even older helmet designs.

I have said this until I'm blue in the face. If they carry on down this path for F125, they may as well not bother, because not many will buy it.

I hope they actually take notice of the gargantuan amount of negative comments on here and all over social media. Otherwise I expect sales to be down for F125 by over 50%.

Thanks. I think that the biggest issue is not focusing on the bugfixing. I mean - there is always a new game and people can adapt. But if there are game breaking issues that are being reported for months and years and it's sometimes being completely ignored, sometimes not ignored but just not fixed at all. It doesnt feel good and I believe players can see that. Resulting in such drops. Honestly, I think that F1 is having a popularity peak and more and more people are interested in motorsport, but effort needs to be seen as well, not just nice promo before releasing a new game, but also a full focus on the development of what's released. I wish this could improve a little, also the things like new engine of course, as you mentioned 🙂

  • I don't mind F1 World at all. It's great if I just want to pick up and play for 10 minutes, 30 minutes, or just chill out for an hour and switch my brain off. I cannot begin to describe how utterly abysmal this game would be if it ONLY had esports mode or career mode. You might be happy to only play on weekends, or have so little else in your life that you can sit for hours every night doing nothing but career mode, but that's just sad. F1 World gives more people more of a chance to enjoy this sport. Breaking Point on the other hand, now THAT should be permanently canned.

@Grace_Tactical Just fyi, F1 World isnt including casual multiplayer, time trial or GP mode but only those boring scenario races and badly thought out ultimate team F1 version, the rest was just the normal game for decades

You know what bothered me the most about F1 22? That I had random strangers in that house I had to decorate standing around uninvited staring at my car. no idea why but that bothered me immensely. The new F1 world team thing rubs me the same way. I know it takes over from the challenges but still hate it.

  • I WAS talking about those "Boring Scenario" races. I don't care for the multiplayer, and never have, so that isn't something I can speak about with even the tiniest bit of authority, but I love the rest of it.

I can go out and do a nice relaxing 5 lap race, or the slightly longer 15 lap ones that are bundled in groups of 5 or 6 races. I don't always want to do a full GP, or have time for it for that matter. I tend to save career mode stuff for weekends, or days when I have the whole day free to race. For the rest of the time, there's the scenario stuff. It's perfect for people with jobs.

@Grace_Tactical Its totally legit that you enjoy it and its great for you, but as a person with a job i can also say GP mode can do the exact same, 5 laps races, 35% races, multiple races after one another.. Sure its a little different but for most people i talked to or read about it the difference doesnt matter. Still its great when people can enjoy even the least liked features!
