Re: Patch 1.7 ruined handling for controller players

Silverstone:
v1.6 1:25.9
v1.7 1:25.5
Spa:
v1.6 1:41.9
v1.7 1:41.7

In my opinion, handling the controller feels a bit strange. It seems like there is fundamentally less grip. My times have nevertheless improved and I feel like there is still a lot of potential. All in all, I can definitely say that handling by the controller in F124 is far too easy. At least for me, F123 was a lot more fun in that respect. It felt like it was much more challenging.

Definitely a step in the wrong direction, far too much steering override.

The irony of it all is that this latest patch was intended to actually improve players experience when using a controller?

Seriously, was this even tested properly by Codemasters? How on earth have they come to the conclusion that it's improved?

It's absolutely undrivable now. Completely and utterly broken!

  • What can we do now? Back to F1 22? This can't be the solution for controller players, F1 23 had the sliding bug with full traction, F1 24 V 1.06 was perfect for controller players and now its undrivable...

@roberto9663I had my frustrations with F123 and the lose rear end using full TC. However I have now got used to it and managed to adapt my driving style around it. F123 is now an immensely enjoyable experience.

Polar opposite to F124. The handling for controller players is now beyond garbage!

    I'm sticking with F123.

V 1.7 is a big step backwards vs 1.3 for example. I now start to understand what is going on with the game. We are beta testing is since May. It is the end of July and the game is still not fixed. Problem is, every release fixes something and create new issues. You barely get used to it, find your set up only to get another update and start all over again. Disaster

I am observing what you do all year and I have an opinion that I can proof with data. The only thing that happens is that each time the game ge’s more broken by a new patch, you will thank you people for beta testing it, reporting here and we never hear back until the game gets broken even more snd then you will thank you people for testing it and that you have reported to dev that they have succeeded. I made up my mind on how I spend my money in 2025. I really hope FIA will make up their mind too on who gets the license.
