@SuperMaioBro Thanks for the impressions buddy. That sounds encouraging for the most part. Seems like it's indeed an improvement over F1 '23. The lack of replies here seem to indicate that everyone who's playing the game in VR are quite happy with the results of the visuals and performance.
But then again, the game is only out today for the majority of people, so if anyone who's on PC wants to chime in with their experience please by all means tell us what it's like on your end.
No its not realy an improvement over last year, feels more like a clone of F1 22 for VR. its blurry 10m ahead of you . Its not optimized or better and many vr players leave this game and going to Assetto corsa.or iracing. There is a handfull of vr players i encounter in leageu-racing and all are not realy happy'Even with a beast of a pc and a 1000€+ headset F1 24 is not great.
Hi - So I've jumped in as an Ex- F1 (Codemasters 2022) player - I jumped ship to iRacing for my VR racing (both online and AI F1) as I had so many issues with Codemasters VR and needed a good support to explain how to get the best settings for VR with 20 cars. iRacing support is on another level and does not require expensive hardware. I have a Quest 3 running at 90Hz with a RTX 3070ti GPU. - No Stutters or Frame Drops.
Best place to start is with your CPU - this is where most VR bottlenecks occur - here is an example of VR support for some current CPU's with a Quest 3 on iRacing.

and some screenshots from iRacing support forum for VR
Hope this gives some insight - in my humble experience you can achieve a worthwhile VR experience with a mid priced GPU/CPU and a Quest 2/3 headset - it strikes me that in may well possible to achieve the same results with EA Sports F1 you get better support in order to optimise your PC hardware and settings.

I was on a HTC Vive (1st version) for F1 22 and F1 23, and I felt like the global quality was a little bit lower than what I could expect. then I launched F1 24 with the same headset, I was thinking the resolution was worse than before until I found out on this forum that resolution inside the headset is scaled on the resolution of the window on main screen, which was not the case in previous opus.
Then, today I upgraded to a Meta Quest 2, which took me a moment to configure to be able to play Steam Games. And I'm statisfied enough to say this is a good upgrade compared to the Vive.
The only thing I could notice (didn't play more than 15 minutes) is that I feel like the steering wheel is further from the POV than before, making it harder to read.
Anyway since I first tried VR mode in F1 22, I almost exclusivly play in VR since I feel it more immersive, especially on tracks like Monaco.
Looking to play more in the next days.
