Re: Why does the Safety Car not exist?

Ive had both, not frequently but then no sc for real in 7-8 races. Dont think ai scripted makes a difference when you play they are random events that feel random so that fine for me

@Darthsausage44 When a Ai car spins it’s a scripted event. What’s not scripted is if other cars hit it. As every race plays out differently so depending on where the other cars are on track will depend if they hit spin Ai car. The spinning car will happen on the same place on the same lap. So sometime no other Ai cars will be involved other times they will.

On F1 21 or 22. Just before end off season 1 I saved game and the. Upload that save file. In season 2 at China. Lando spun and caused a mass pile up. Didn’t think much off.

Anyway as I like to play around with the game constantly. I play it every which way. Well I used to this year game sucks. So not so much. So one day I downloaded my save file to restart from end off season one. Picked new engine supplier and team mate. In season 2 at China… Guess what happened? Lando spun on the same corner on the same lap. Only difference this time I was behind him and he took me out. So i thought hmm. So restarted the race a number off times. And guess what? Same lap same corner every time Lando spun. Sometimes no one hit him other times he wiped out multiple cars. 6 was the most. Not only that I restarted my save file twice more trying all suppliers and other team mates. Come China he again spun same place same time. When the Ai cars spin due to unforced errors they are 100% scripted to do so. Same as engine failures. I’ve tested the same thing over the years on races when ai have unforced spins.

Well…your thinking that was in previous games… doesn’t mean it happens in this years game. Valid point.

This year 1st season off driver career. Jeddah midway into race coming out off last corner onto home straight Perez unforced spin right infront off me. How i managed to avoid him I don’t know…Even posted pictures on our what’s App group off me taking evasive action. Then funny enough Ai car behind him was Lando and he drove into him and wiped. Him out causing safety car. Soooo I restarted the race a few times and every time on same corner on the same Lap Perez spun.

@Darthsausage44Also it’s always been common practice for developers off all games that have Ai. To script events and give Ai cheats and buffs/nerfs to use to help make the Ai appear more random and intelligent.

sometime it’s done well players won’t notice others it’s blatantly obvious.  These games when you play them for as long as the core community does.  You notice them easily.  On the F1 22 boards there’s a long thread where core players including me discuss this in great length and obviously share experiences.  Which funny enough are all very similar ones… Why because scripted events are repetitive

@ScarDuck14 But if you dont repeat - like me, i never flashback or restart a race, it never feels scripted - i wasnt doubting it is but it never feels like it to me

@Darthsausage44 Totally get that. It’s designed for normal players to play. So one play through doesn’t expose the mechanics. Players like me are our own worst enemy because we play the games repeatedly we find games short comings.
