This is an example of excessive AI straight line speed, as requested on the issues to be investigated page. I chose Red Bull, as I should be blowing past these cars, but on the straights I dont make a dent or they even pull away. In a Sauber i'd lose 5 tenths on the straight alone. Different lines through the last corner don't make a difference. the last example is the most egregious. AI difficulty calculator suggests I play on 102, this is on 100 so I can at least keep up. It's even worse on Miami.

this is Grand Prix mode, Career has the issue too, but possibly due to a different cause.

Current AI feels likes Everyone is Driving Red bull with NO Drags at all.. ALSO AI doesnt Slide they have the 100% grip after a exit

Ok not read the thread and admit my time on this game is limited as I like games to be fun and not soul destroying 😇
So not sure if this works in every situation. But i too found myself being slow on straights compared to Ai. I found that changing ERS mode to hot lap before exiting corners and accelerating onto straights plus an initial tap off overtake. Then a couple more quick taps down the straight helped keep same pace as Ai. Whereas I found medium mode plus overtake so much slower
Csnt remember what year it’s was but when kers was a thing. I remember tapping Kers button on and ff was faster than keeping finger on the button.
