Button prompt for engineer radio messages disappears

    Hey everyone,

    just wanted to give you all a quick update here, that this issue should be fixed with the coming patch v1.5 on Monday.

    • Fixed a rare issue which could prevent the player from using Engineer commands during a number of sessions

thanks for reporting! This sounds a bit weird. Could you share some additional information for us, like on what platform you are playing, and could you include your report code as well, please?

    I recorded the race I had this issue in. So I checked the recording and I could only find a Report Code from the practice session I did before the race, so hopefully that one is the same as from the race itself: AVMJ-RCAT-HMVA-BASC

    I'm playing on PS5 by the way! Thanks for looking into this issue.

    This is happening on PS4 aswell, it’s very frustrating not being able to ask the engineer any questions

    Happened to me too on a multiplayer race 50% China, clipped from my stream below. From a league race but EA league/racenet just a regular MP race.

    Button was there early all race.  SC period went green flag end of lap 9 start of lap 10.  No pitstops on my end.  Came around to start lap 11, engineer came over the radio and the button disappears as it should when he's talking but never comes back.

    Xbox Series X, no code.  Will grab it next time if it happens.

    Hi Ea I’ve also been having the same problem as I have just done the imola gp and lost the comms button on lap 9 for it not reappear at all. Report code AHAC-DEJJ-BCCE-TSKA

        I've played a couple of races this week and the issue seems to be fixed now. Awesome!
