G29 FFB not working
Hi,
I’m having a Force Feedback issue with my Logitech G29 specifically in F1 24 and F1 25.
Symptoms:
Wheel is detected correctly as Logitech G29. Inputs (steering, pedals, buttons) work perfectly.
Very slight impact vibration when hitting a wall at high speed.
No self-aligning torque at all (wheel feels completely loose in corners and on straights).
No real resistance except minimal vibration effects. Important details: The G29 works perfectly in Le Mans Ultimate (full FFB, normal torque).
Windows detects the wheel correctly in DirectInput (dxdiag shows FFB device).
I tested both Logitech G Hub (latest version) and Logitech Gaming Software (LGS).
Centering spring disabled in driver. Rotation tested at 360° and 900°.
FFB settings maxed in-game (150 strength etc.) with no change.
Assist settings checked (no steering assist enabled).
Clean Windows reinstall already done.
Steam Input disabled. Deleted F1 config folders and controller cache.
Verified game files. Reinstalled DirectX and VC++ redistributables.
Also tested: Unplug/replug during session (wheel reverts to driver centering, but game never takes control properly). Minimal startup (no overlays or background tools).
The same G29 works correctly on another PC with F1, so the wheel itself is not defective.
At this point, it seems like F1 initializes the device but does not apply proper self-aligning torque, only minimal vibration effects.
Has anyone experienced this with a G29?
Any known conflicts or recent patches affecting FFB scaling?
Thanks.
