With the patch notes for V1.06 just released there was no mention of a updated car performance, in my MyTeam VCARB are last with 0 points ( they didn't score at all either in S1 ) when this clearly isn't the case in real life. When can we expect to see the update for the cars?
I don't understand the delay in updating the performance this year. Last year it was updated in the second patch. And the driver ratings haven't been updated either.
They have not announced a date for the performance patch. Last year it was released unusually early, probably since the only thing they had to change was McLaren.

Based on the above it will probably come out between late July and August during the Summer break.
I didn't remember it being updated so late in other years. I learned my lesson, I don't buy it at launch anymore, I wait two months for a promotion. Here in Brazil, games are very expensive.
I hope they update this month, along with the driver ratings update. I believe the team order needs to be similar to this.

Sauber, Haas, Racing Bulls and Aston Martin need to be very close.
Last year they did it in the 2nd patch probably because there was so much backlash from the driving / AI changes.
I was surprised there hasn't been a drivers rating update, but i'm thinking they'll do one around the end of each podium pass so there'll be 3 or 4 (as the season ends in december and therefore ratings won't change for the passes beyond that when nobody is racing)
In terms of the cars, last years wasn't too off immediately so I think it was quite early. This one is abit more fine-tuning so I'd expect to see it during the August mid-season break window. It's usually a one-and-done so I think they'll delay it so they know they've got it right.
Currently though, it's working for me. I have Red Bull and McLaren mostly trading wins. Ferrari have lopped with a few (like 3 out of 19) but are consistently podiums and Russell has a win and a fair few podiums. The lower points battle is tight where all the other teams have scored, and look like scoring, points with nobody way off the back (except my team.. and Hadjar). I accept that it's not especially reality but it's made the game interesting so i'm in no particular hurry!
Exactly for me when I do driver career, I’ve seen Red Bull 1-2s led by Tsunoda. McLaren are 4th in constructors and Tsunoda once was leading the championship. It’s just very far off of real life and a patch would be nice is all.
Performance is very random
Agreed it would be great to get a car performance update soon. Let's hope its implemented into the next patch.
Quick question, what do they base the car updated performance patch on? Is it generally the constructors standing at the time? Or the last few race results?
I think with the new Ferrari floor they have taken a step forward and are currently second in the constructors championship, It would be good to see Ferrari move up to P2 in the patch. At least that would be representative of the constructors currently.
Mercedes are a bit inconsistent and struggle in anything but cooler temperatures and the Red Bull car is a bit hit and miss.
Another patch on Monday, and no updates to team performance or driver ratings. How difficult is it for you guys to update this game?
