Wishlist for the new game
Hello guys, here is a list of some things i'd like to see on the upcoming F1 game: - brighter tail lights ( we barely notice the ones especially on the wing, and add some variations when harvesting for example, in real life they flicker faster when on harvest mode) - being able to add like a team name next to our name (ex: [Team Name] Nickname) ( this is manly a Console problem since on PC you can change your name at your liking whenever you want ) - new ways of saving setups ( wish we could have something like slots for each track, 6/7 slots, working like some kind of "subfolders", it would be easier to use than scrolling through a huge list) - more logos? we had the sames ones for years on end and the honestly are lazy and poorly done (and even worse is the audacity to sell them in store) - in the same line as logos, decals, there are the liveries - the lack of customization ruins the experience of the game, and honestly the decal editor is a good improvement but still lacks in a lot of ways - paying for liveries/logos/decals/etc are a complete waste of money and not worth in the slightest ( recycled stuff years upon years ) - voice commands on console would be cool also - hopefully tire wear will be noticeable this time, and make fresh tire look like actual fresh tires (love when i go out of the garage with fresh tires and they look like they already have some use...)LoRd_VaDeR_PT53 minutes agoNew Scout30Views0likes2CommentsF1® 25 Q&A - Gavin Cooper (Creative Director)
Hello drivers! We hope you are very excited for the upcoming F1® 25 game! Last week we released our F1® 25 My Team & Driver Career Deep Dive. There are a lot of exciting things happening, and to keep the wheels going we are going to host a Q&A with Gain Cooper (Creative Director)! Here's a little bit from him! "I've been in the industry since about 1998, when my hobby of making levels for the games I was playing with my friends got me a job doing more of the same. Over time my skills and my interests led me more towards game design roles, and I was well-established as a design lead when Codemasters acquired the studio I was working at in 2008. In my early years I worked on a variety of different kinds of racing games such as Rollcage Stage 2 and LEGO Racers 2. After a brief diversion into the field of action games (Cold Winter and 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand) and a cheeky bit of more casual racing fun (Toybox Turbos and F1 Race Stars) I've now transitioned into my "grown up racing" phase, where as Creative Director I've headed up the design efforts on the odd-year F1 titles since F1 2019. Very much looking forwards to seeing players get their hands on F1® 25, and until then I'm happy to answer what questions I can!" Please, post your questions below and we'll collect them during the week for Gavin to answer. Use the Like button at the top of each comment to vote for your favourite questions. Gavin will answer the most upvoted ones! Before starting, here are some quick guidelines: One post, one question. Try to limit yourself to a question per post, as it will be easier to collect them. The focus of this Q&A is on Career Modes. If you have a question about soundtracks or other aspects of the game, it is probable that Gavin doesn't have the answer for you. There are some things he cannot answer, such is the nature of game development. Remember the Closed Beta is under NDA. Please refrain from asking any questions regarding the Closed Beta. You can throw in some fun questions too! Favourite cars, F1 memories, F1 pilots... As always, keep things fun, fair and respectful. We have also prepared a small list of F.A.Q. regarding My Team to avoid redundancy: You said My Team has been fully revamped, what changes have been made? One of the biggest changes is that originally, players acted as both Owners and Drivers of their team. Although there have been some examples of this throughout F1 history, it is not the most common setup in the sport. So, now the mode will be redefined to more accurately represent the sport, and the role of the Owner will be focused on running the team. The new My Team will place more emphasis on managing the fates of both drivers. When race weekend comes around, players can choose either of them to get behind the wheel. The progression system has also been updated. Owners will battle to improve the Fan Rating of their team by achieving objectives and winning key Rivalries against other teams in the championship. Away from the track, players will also run the operations from an all-new Team HQ, an evolving space that will grow in scale, population, activity, and branding as the player builds the team’s reputation and staff. The size of the workforce, development costs, and facilities costs will play a big role, owners need to be careful not to breach the cost cap Research and Development are also now separate branches, giving players the flexibility to choose when they manufacture a new part and how to apply it. For instance, completing only one of a new upgrade package is faster, but then they will need to choose which driver gets the upgrade first, which will affect their motivation and the player’s leverage in contract negotiations. Sponsors matter more than ever, unlocking extra benefits and customisation options. Each sponsor’s brand values will impact the team in terms of expectations and goals they expect you to achieve. Relationships with sponsors will develop over time. As fan rating increases, players will also need to balance their legacy sponsors that have been there from the beginning with more lucrative offers from new brands. How has Driver Career been improved this year? Players can now have more control over driver Icons. They can choose to enable or disable each of the individual driver Icons and, for the first time, whether the AI teams can recruit Icons. The mode will also benefit from the Konnersport and movie content integrated into the game. Players will be able to add an eleventh team to the grid, either Braking Point’s Konnersport, or the APXGP team from F1 (exclusive to the Iconic Edition). Thank you in advance for submitting questions and taking part! We hope to bring you more in the future and look forward to chatting with you all!EA_Groguet2 hours agoCommunity Manager661Views9likes31CommentsF1 25 - Pit Wall
What would people think if to make the race even more interactive EA would create a Pit Wall Screen that could be shared on a separate PC monitor so a second player could relay the information to the driver then it would become a team game. You could still choose to either use the original AI race engineer or have the data passed on to you via a team player. I think that would be wicked! Cheers RobFast_Kiwi_202516 hours agoRising Newcomer20Views0likes0Commentsflicking will be less effective?
The official blog says about handling: Rapid steering inputs, such as techniques that rely on ‘flicking’, will be less effective on race days, as a more aggressive driving style will result in overheating the tyres and faster wear. I wonder what this is intended to mean. Is it an admission that flicking is actually faster? Or is it that flicking has a very bad effect on race day? If so, why is it written as "less effective"? Isn’t flicking always slower in F1? There was a lot of talk about drifting being faster in F1 24. As someone who wants realistic handling, this expression bothers me quite a bit.homesvslupin2 days agoNew Veteran33Views0likes2CommentsF1 2025 UDP Specification
Just like in F1 2024 will we be able to discus what we want in the F1 2025 UDP specification? Some notes up front: PacketEventData Fastest Lap is not being broadcasted in multiplayer grand prix. PacketSessionData Anti-Lock Brakes is missing. Traction Control is missing. Colourblind Mode (Dynamic Racing Line) is missing. Hi-Vis Racing Line is missing. Force Cockpit Camera is missing. Perhaps they can even be removed from PacketSessionData en be placed in CarSatus which already contains Anti-Lock Brakes and Traction Control and perhaps should also include the others or at the very least Cockpit Camera. This is for a starter. Let's start the pre-discussion. What would you like to see in F1 2025 UDP?iphonevanmark3 days agoNew Novice156Views0likes4CommentsAny plans to increase the number of supported languages?
Could you possibly support the Korean language? Recently, the popularity of F1 has been growing significantly in Korea. If Korean is supported in the game, it will help attract a much larger user base.kkulkkule4 days agoSeasoned Novice9Views0likes0CommentsF1 25 Customisation
Hello everyone 👋 Like many others, I watched the DEEP DIVES feature, which included customization, which is a real pleasure and will be beneficial for My Team Mode. But we only saw customization on the cars, but are the helmets affected? Is the decal system also available, and should we expect the same level of customization? I'm thinking maybe the ability to change the visor color? Another question, unrelated but important, is that I thought I saw that the drivers are always the same height in the trailer, and that they don't have their actual heights. Should we expect a 1.80 meter tall Yuki Tsunoda like last year, or will this be corrected at release or even during the year ? Not really impressed so far...
Hi guys, now, as much as I'm excited for purchasing F1 25, I also have to admit that I'm not impressed with the deep dives we had so far. Don't get me wrong, My Team 2.0 is a huge change in the mode we know and love. The thing that worries me is the drastically decreased amount of icon drivers we can pick. For example, where's Casper Akkerman from F1 23? I think he'd still be great despite being pretty old. Or what about Nyck de Vries, Felipe Drugovich and Theo Pourchaire, three former F2 champions that will probably never get a chance in real life that we can give them in the game? It's just not fair to cancel these guys out even though we know that they deserve a drive. About driver transfers, it's nice that icons can join AI teams now, but it would be nice, and someone said that under the latest deep dive video, manually decide which driver goes where to mix things up, kinda like in F1 Manager 24, in which you can change the lineups at the start of a new career. Same thing with the calendar. It's cool that we can add reverse tracks to the calendar, but it would be nice, and we asked for this since the 2021 game, to change the order of the races so that we say start in Brazil and finish up in Suzuka, or put Bahrain into the summer and Monaco as one of the last races. Moreover, we need to be able to decide which races are Sprint weekends. Bahrain suits more as a Sprint weekend than Qatar does, and China doesn't offer enough overtaking spots to be worthy for a Sprint. It's another thing that F1 Manager 24 offers, so why not add it to the racing game as well to mix things up every season? Customization looks good though, and the fact that unlike in EA SPORTS WRC, more sponsors on the car means more income makes sponsor management much more important. We'll just have to see what's next, and I'm certainly gonna purchase the game to see what it's like, but so far, I'm not 100% convinced that F1 25 will be the bang that we're looking for. Let's just hope for the best and see what happens. - NicoLuckyNico925 days agoSeasoned Ace69Views1like0CommentsImprove matchup system with safety rating
I wish there was a better system to get more player racing together online. There's many players out there but unfortunately, they're scattered across too many servers. Currently, the matchup based on license is taking age and most of the time you end up racing with an empty grid. There's also the public lobbies but when you finally find the right lobby with a descent number of player, you also have to wait after the session to be completed, hoping that most drivers will remain the server for the next event. I think a unique matchup system based on skill and a safety rating would be a good way to improve the online experience.S1MONSTR37 days agoNew Novice19Views0likes0Commentsbuy the game(Iconic Edition)HKpeople
