F1 26

EA owns an option on the license for 26 & 27, though there's been differing reports as the whether or not the option was activated. That said it's more likely than not there will be an F1 26 and they would also likely continue LIDAR scanning tracks if they do.

The games usually run on a 2 year cycle so its highly likely a deal would have to of been negotiated by the release of F1 24. 

Although nothing official has been released yet, it will in due course. 

With LIDAR, id expect only 2/3 tracks to get updated with the addition of Madrid being a priority

There is already a job advertisement for 26. What does that tell us ? Correct, there will be a new 26.

Hopefully the job is for PSVR2 support on PS5.  As good as I've heard this year's game is, I just wouldn't play it for long if I bought it. No PS5 VR, no buy sadly.

I would like street tracks like Monaco and Baku to be scanned

You can see what they're hiring for under careers on EA's website. That position isn't still listed as Husky's post was from 3 months ago, so it was likely filled, but they're currently hiring a UI software Engineer for Formula 1.

There ist the confirmation, that ALL Tracks has been scanned and ready for F1 26!

With five tracks having received the LIDAR treatment, are there more coming? If so, which ones?​

We’re definitely seeing these LIDAR updates as the start of a process. We received our LIDAR data from scans that were taken during the 2024 championship, so for F1 25, we focused on circuits earlier in the calendar, in order to finish the tracks for the game’s release. Now we have all the circuits scanned, so for any future updates, we can focus on the tracks we think would most benefit from an update. And part of figuring that out will include listening to our fans, seeing which tracks they’re most excited to see updated.
