Unable to customise car set-ups - Coop Career

So me and a friend started our online Co-op career today. It was literally the first mode I started after loading up the game for the first time. We are both with Ferrari. But for whatever reason, we are unable to customise the set-ups for our car, at any stage of the race weekend. The car setup screen options are essentially locked and cannot alter anything.Whether it is P1, P2, Qualifying etc. Even during the race we can only select 'Lean' or 'Standard' fuel.

I have checked all the settings and I cannot see what is causing this. Does anyone know how to solve this bug or if you are experiencing it yourself? It seems it has affected users in previous users too but there is no clear way on actually solving this. 

Not sure if this matters but we have laps on 15% and are on PS5. Parc Ferme is disabled.

Super frustrating as a big part of the game is currently inaccessible.
