While the AI is a bit bonkers right now, F1 AI is still one of the best available.
Could be greatly better and maybe more customizable, but it does it's job to provide an entertaining race. As many mentioned, GT AI is railroad at it's finest and it's very bland to race against.
There is some improvements but It can be better, but I disagree on being the worst on the subject.
- 4 years ago@ScarDuck14 I think the AI drivers should have more parameters to be more flexible to progress, instead of how it is. Traits acquired during career mode would be really interesting and it could even set the potential of having drivers failing or succeeding based on how well it performed or lucky it got.
Delving into rivalries it could even mean going to a team that would have to sack the other driver or block you from signing from that team, it could really spark something during play- 4 years ago
I really like the AI this year, one of the best I've ever seen in a racing game... They made mistakes and defend, If you leave enough space, there will be no problem.

My problem with the AI this year is the one it was before, the difficulty. And this year it's even more unbalanced. When I play career mode the difficulty I have for each track oscillates a lot, but the results I get are real considering what it should be. But when I play MyTeam or Co-op for some reason I have to drop it like 10 points. MyTeam seems to be because of the straight line speed, in the other hand I can't figure it out what is happening in Co-op. I'm in an Alfa, 4th best car, Monza, I hit every apex perfectly get 19th, Bottas goes 11th. My mate in an Haas, 3rd worst car, and a casual player not getting a perfect lap gets 8th while Mick goes last. It seems his car gets the AI boost while my car is like a tractor.
