@Bauersome AI seems like a big improvement to me, is more aggresive, you can't overtake them so easily this year, they do make mistakes when you put pressure on them. Regarding some AI crash into you (which many are completely understandable if you look at the replay), they crash into each other in real life too, so what's the problem with some random crash? Do you want to be the only one on track able to crash the AI? For me the AI is a real improvement this year.

So is every single person having this. Because I'm not. I've adjusted my ai level and all is fine.

As proper ai is still not a sting: and Polythony were given access to all Sony resources to develop sophy including their super computers along with full support from Sonys own ai developement team and it’s been in development for something like 5 years and still not in the game:
So their are choices that developers have to make when designing a ai for a game. And as for ai ruining emersipn. No current ai in any game can make game Emersive. As current ai relies on one off two things to make it competitive. They are cheats. As in speed boosts and rubber banding and/or scripts. Which will cause a safety car or rain or you get a drs issue or something like that. anything to help cover up the fact ai is stupid:
Then as it is stupid ai is either stuck on rails and follow the leader for every race with one ai car challenging you. Thinking project cars 2 and worse every gran turismo ever where you start last and the ai cars are paced to make it feel like a challenge.

Or we can have ai that not only race human layers but eachother. Which means making them more aggressive and at times bonkers., and when I watch f1 for real all drivers race eachother. And even make stupid mistakes even the title contenders like what’s that guys name… the one with the unfortunate nickname. Ah Lecrash. Wonder why that name stuck
The ai for this year game has been taken in a different direction and far from perfect and has issues but they are being worked on. But this ai is the closest your getting to real life racing… it’s a game it’s nothing like real life. In actual fact having to avoid bonkers dive bombing ai may be stressing you out. Imagine your max or Lewis of Lecrash in wheel to wheel racing. All I see it’s broken it’s not like real life blah blah blah. Your sitting somewhere like a sofa or a game rig all safe and sound.. not having to put your body through the the G-forces f1 drivers do.
it’s a game. Even entry level racing like karting it closer to f1 than a game; have fun. If you think ai is going to crash into you take it first
@SomaticCoast375Your R&D progression? Setup? ERS management? Engine wear? Were you in the DRS train? Did you even realize dirty air is in the game?
This game demands a lot more from the players and is not so straightforward like most racing games in the market. Just the fact that there were so many players mentioning that they drained their ERS or having major issue at launching the car at start, is a good enough indication that most of them are probably new and have yet to understand the fundamentals here.
It's not entirely their fault as the game or the sport itself is complicated, but it's not the game's fault either if it's too difficult for certain players who decided to play it like doing a bare-fist run in Elden Ring. The biggest deception here is the game is seemingly advertised for everyone, but in reality it's much closer to a sim, and because of the fact that it's not an actual sim, at times it could be even harder than the real ones so you'll need to adapt it differently.- @Apophis-STR when you pass on kerbs you feel the arcade stye of this game.
Have you ever tried a simulator? The phisics of this game it's a joke...
It's only a good vr effect game, but ACC or iracing are better in every other things- @Artax04 Did I ever said it's a full-sim? Also, have you ever actually play an arcade racer to know what it really means to be an arcade racer?
If the game is still heavily based its foundation on real life physics, doesn't matter how bad a job it's doing, then it's still definitely not a game aimed for everyone.
There's no point getting into an argument about whether the game is arcade or sim, a real arcade racer won't demand your to do tire management or whatever newcomers are having issues with this F1 game atm. I hope you understand what I'm trying to say.
- @SomaticCoast375 Maybe only in career where it's a known bug which will be fixed pretty soon from what i know, in GP they are not faster than me and i play with a pretty high AI level. You can't easily overtake them because they are defending much better, it's much more fun now, it's not the boring AI that will only defend on the outside line and you can overtake them on the inside line, now they move on the inside or ourside line depending on the corner and where they see you will try to overtake. For me it's the best AI i had in F1 games.
