@Bauersome Totally agree.
I play almost every night with a friend vs the AI around 30-40 difficultly. IF it’s a clean race, we will usually end up finishing towards the top. But far too many times the AI and physics are there to ruin it.
- If you touch the rear end of an AI, you spin out and AI keeps going.
- If the AI touches your rear end, you spin out and AI keeps going.
- Far too many times Ive passed an AI on a straight, only for them to rear end me in the next corner causing me to spin out and they keep going unaffected.
- Ive had AI rear end me, cause me to spin, then drag me against the wall until my car ghosts, and they proceed unaffected.
- AI gets ZERO penalties. I’m not just talking time penalties, there’s just no consequence for the AI. They don’t get taken out of races if you rear end them, or if they rear end you. They’re invincible.
I enjoy the aggressiveness, wheel to wheel battles, and can honestly deal with the straight line speed (still needs to be fixed). What I don’t need is to be running a clean race, respecting the AI’s space, then all of a sudden get spun out of nowhere on a straight because the AI chooses to go straight through you instead of around you. It happens at least once a race.

Yeah this year I am also a bit frustrated about AI behaviour. I thought it will be better when I saw preview Videos. Just yesterday i needed to replay again 3 times turn 1 in USA as the AI just drove into my sidepod in turn 1. My Front wheel passed his Front wheel but they just Stick to the racing line,no room at all. This is really annoying. And then completely unrealistic overtaking tries by them where in RL no one would attack...but yeah,thats this years game. Luckily we have the flashback function 😄
- 4 years ago@RyKnocks you've summed the AI up perfectly. It's a shame that Codies don't care though and will just make them even worse in the next game.
