What I do instead is use GP mode, pick Sainz and set it to one shot qualy. Do the qualy and see where I am and then adjust the difficulty based on the difference. 1 point in difficulty is around 1.1 tenth of a second.
Great tool, thank you for the effort. Sometimes the difference in skill level between just a tenth of a second is a little too harsh imo, but I'm sure with more and more data the more precise the calculation will become, so it's a really handy tool to have to at the very least have a starting point to experiment with.

Is it based on your best legal lap in time trial? I ask that because in practice/qualifying you can be more aggressive where as time trial is strict. So is it best legal lap or best lap (illegal). I don’t mean blatant corner cutting but just over the edge.
- 4 years ago@Player_p5n3ehjv I just go to time trial and run what I think are three good laps. Then I get the average of the three and that's what I used to plug into F1 laps. Worked really well last year. Hopefully once we get the weird AI straightened out it will work very well again this year

Drive the way you would drive in whatever session you're setting your AI difficulty for.
