acceleration, no acceleration, acceleration, no acceleration, acceleration, no acceleration and that over a second to a second and a half (it's huge in F1) when the AI will be in constant acceleration and will not lose the car, suddenly with any stable will have better acceleration.
I tested with ferrari and red bull against williams, aston martin, mclaren in a lap without drs with a 1.5 second gap or even 2 seconds, I catch myself directly out of a turn, I defend myself with the ers to count on my max speed, but except that after a while I have no more ers, but the ai seems to have ers at infinity suddenly I get doubled.
I qualify for example 5th I finish 10th or even more and that has almost all the races.
Usually I play at 79-80 then I'm at 69 and I still think it's gone down otherwise it's not realistic.
Experiencing this as well. Playing Bahrain at 95AI. No assists and driving as Sergio Perez in GP mode. With DRS and ERS engaged I can barely get by another car on the front straight. Something just seems out of whack. I thought Red Bull had a straight line speed advantage and yet I can't get passed a Mercedes no matter how perfect I exit the last corner. I have to out brake them into turn one and the AI turns into me all the time unless I have a wheel ahead of them. It's like they have zero awareness that you are along side.
I tried the top speed preset and still struggled to get by with DRS and ERS.
Mainly I've been using TRL's setup but lowered the on throttle diff to avoid spinning on corner exits. I even lowered the front and rear wings by 4 each and did not gain any top speed advantage.
My other gripe is new tires feel like I'm driving in the wet. 20-30% throttle will spin me out. I can barely get through turn 1 and 2 at Bahrain coming out of the pits and I lose the race every time on my out lap.
- 4 years ago@Hansenhaus I ran 5-7 wings at Bahrain and they still gapped me
