One thing I've noticed is that on the straights the AI is rapid, is this a glitch (I've heard the ai has something similar to infinite ers or something) or is it as intended? (This was based on the GP mode with the Ferrari car)
There definitely is a problem with AI’s top speed don’t let anyone tell you any different. I play on 90 AI and even still when I bump it down to 70 I’m still losing 0.400-0.800 each lap on Baku straight. I’ve tried different set ups and no matter what I’m getting burnt on the straights. I’ll have ERS on overtake and DRS and I’ll still only gain around 0.100 on the car ahead, it’s ridiculous at this point and needs fixing

Hey everyone,
I have noticed that in my gameplay as well, and will also happily take your feedback and experience here and pass that over to our team. If you have any observations or more feedback on this, please let me know 👍

Thanks for the response. I hope we can get an official word on whether or not something is broken. Could it be the players car has a capped top speed? Even with wing setting around 10-20 range, max tire pressures and the lowest ride height I am struggling to pass on the main straight in Bahrain (driving as Perez) with DRS and ERS combined. I should be blowing by the AI when they do not have DRS. I've had AI cars gain on me while I have DRS and they don't. If the AI cars have DRS behind me they rapidly catch up in a way I'm not able to do to them.
Shouldn't Red Bull should have the fastest straight line speed? It does not appear they do.
- 4 years ago@EA_rephii This passage of my message explains the problem well.:
I did several tests when exiting a bend followed by a long straight line with all the cars and with tc or without tc, the problem is that the AI on the acceleration will be at full speed whereas we are human without tc we have to dose the acceleration otherwise the car will spin and with tc the help will ensure that the car does not spin so will do:
acceleration, no acceleration, acceleration, no acceleration, acceleration, no acceleration and that over a second to a second and a half (it's huge in F1) when the AI will be in constant acceleration and will not lose the car, suddenly with any stable will have better acceleration.
I tested with ferrari and red bull against williams, aston martin, mclaren in a lap without drs with a 1.5 second gap or even 2 seconds, I catch myself directly out of a turn, I defend myself with the ers to count on my max speed, but except that after a while I have no more ers, but the ai seems to have ers at infinity suddenly I get doubled.
I qualify for example 5th I finish 10th or even more and that has almost all the races.
PS: I was told that with this problem of the AI in a straight line because it has a cheater acceleration suddenly it uses less ers which makes it hard to believe that it has unlimited ers- 4 years ago
The AI have 10-15 mph over us, we can't run anyless aero and they still catch us even on 0-0 aero they blast past yu like you are standing still
they seem to have unlimted ers or something

Please have the team fix this. It’s degrading and discouraging to us long term fans that are use to playing the AI on a specific difficulty. The AI’s straight line speed is insanity and it leaves to ultra inconsistent racing. I can be way faster everywhere else and then lose a good 2 seconds due to the AI catching me so fast.

I’m losing time with drs and the leading car has no drs. It’s nuts
