I'm just going to confirm this is an issue for me as well. Been playing the series for years around 95% difficulty and suddenly the AI is way faster than me this year. Last year that difficulty was doable for me but much more challenging than previous games. This year I've lowered to 85% and am still significantly slower than the AI. Something is amiss for sure.
I don't see this issue. I think it is a lot about learning the new handling and getting good exits for the long straights.
Couple of examples from today, MyTeam, Miami GP, AI 98, no TC and I have the worst car on the grid.
Case 1:
I was behind Albon in Williams, we both had medium tyres. His tyres were a bit older than mine. Williams is also a slightly better car than mine.
I was looking for an overtake for several laps and then was able to do it in the back straight by using DRS and ERS. Good fight and clean overtake.
Case 2:
10 laps remaining and Tsunoda came out from pit with fresh softs. I had softs as well, but already almost ten laps wear. Was able to defend him until the end of the race by getting good exists to long straights and using ERS when necessary. Tsunoda had DRS almost on every lap, but was not able to overtake.
For both of these cases good to know, AI was running preset 4 with 8/18 wings. I had much more wing so was slower on straights, but able to pull some gap on sector 1.
If AI speed is going to be adjusted, hopefully it doesn't destroy good raising like in previous games. It has always been too easy to defend as pass AI. This year it is a good fight I think.
- 4 years ago@gizt7 they've posted on here it's an issue. It's an issue.
- 4 years ago@hesterdelt Where? If you are referring to the one post from community manager, it doesn't tell devs actually think something needs to be changed.

@gizt7 The community managers are supposed to be the people who communicate between the community and the devs
