AI gaining Massive Speed on the straights

Having the same issue in My Team (at Imola) and Driver Career (in F2 at Baku, I have video of this but can’t attach it for some reason). Pace seems fine in the corners but as soon as you hit a straight section the AI speed boosts massively and they just drive around you and pull away making it impossible to keep up. Issue hadn’t occurred in previous races just at the points mentioned which are both in season 1 of the respective career modes.
