Sadly no sorry @Ultrasonic_77 ^^' I'm just a player who is trying to understand the issue to report it and maybe have it solved faster
On that note, i think with my discord group we can safely say that the issue is on engine upgrade not applying to our car.
We did a test, where we made a myteam with a renault engine and one with a ferrari engine, other than that, same setup, same car upgrades, same teammate, 100Ai, no assist, short qualy
With renault I did a 1:29:85 in barhain, 330 kph in speed trap
With Ferrari i did a 1:29:65 in Barhain, with 333kph in speed trap
I think the difference can be explained with me getting a better lap since I did ferrari after, and also engine caracteristic
Now for the real deal
Huklenberg did a 1:30:1 with renault
And a 1:28:4 with ferrari
Something is definitely up with engine upgrades, they do not apply to the player car. When I have the time, i'll redo a test to see if it wasn't a fluke.
Edit: I redid a test with renault which resulted in a 1:29:35 from Hulkenberg, which is more in expected results, but still confirms the engine problem suspicion
@nkzsry9q2v3n It’s actually similar to last year. Mainly last around 4 months.
I have played excess off 900 hours in myteam and never going further than 4 seasons as max car won title and constructors. Get bored and restart new my team using every power unit. But generally I’d stick to same answers in press interview. So apart from wether my first r&d passed for Bahrain the only variable was the engine.
I’ve started hundreds off my team careers last year.
And have posted on the change in engine performance or characteristics but as most people hadn’t played my team for months and didn’t care others think I was imagining things.
CM imo made changes to engine performance and wear to each power unit. But never changed the starting values your presented with at the beginning off myteam.
But throughout Mercedes performance was always decent. But despite both Honda and Renault apparently being down on power compared to Mercedes’, Hondas top end speed at some point was around 5mph faster and Renault would be roughly the same as Mercedes. With Ferrari being slowest:
So my theory was gear ratios although I’m told they are all the same. So then as you say engine characteristics on how each power train delivers its power to the wheels
As you obviously know my-team car is heavy draggy lemon in the beginning.
I found when using Ferrari cars top end was slowest but it was also more prone to breaking traction during midrange accelerating.
Mercedes would behave in a similar way but easier to manage.
Whereas Both Honda and Renault would power through mid range without ever feeling or fearing breaking traction
And with every update engine performance t always seemed a little different but most noticeable to me was a increase in Ferrari performance. almost as though the devs were using the later months of 2021 as a secret beta. Perhaps just a thought:
So when it comes to each engine having different characteristics I believe your right. I know I’m talking about last years but may help. And these are just my opinions but t Ferrari power curve seemed to deliver most power through mid range and dropping off towards top end
Mercedes abit more balanced giving decent midrange and decent top end.
Whereas Renault (I hardly used so limited knowledge) and definitely Honda power curve would lean towards top end speed
And what convinces me ad I’m an old man with stiff on/off fingers that uses controller. So as I don’t cry in agony after an hours play time I use auto gears. Auto gears makes it hard to manage your revs and impossible to hold a gear as auto will decide when to change.
So because off this I found Honda not only best top end but as it was easier to manage accelerating out off slow corners as having lower midrange power ment Less wheel slip. Compared to Mercedes and Ferrari extra power would be wasted
and so finely this to me anyway makes complete sense on how current engine performance is. All engines are currently putting to much power during midrange accelerating. Thus lots off power isn’t making it onto track. And being wasted Why low on diff is currently all the rage. And why the upcoming torque update will smooth all this out
and finally this is why ai are faster on straights. They accelerate using optimum amounts off throttle at all times. And those who can keep up with them just have higher amounts off finesse in fingers or toes😁
Ive used no facts this is all just from what I’ve seen read and experienced
