@nkzsry9q2v3n Because how the power is currently delivered is hampering accelerating out off slow corners compared to ai. This is what the developers are working on. And this is also have a negative affect higher performance powertrain. Because when your accelerating out off corner the higher power going to the wheels is harder to manage and it’s easy to either accelerate to hard causing some slippage or not hard enough and not putting enough power through the wheels for optimal acceleration. Either way your end up compromising your maximum speed
with a lower performance power train. You have more margin for error. As the reduced amount off power it puts the rear tyres when accelerating is more manageable. So you have a better chance off putting the right amount off power through the wheels and onto the track. Giving better traction given you more chance off maximum speed.
im not a engineer I’m sorry if that sounds confusing: Google how engines work
the update will make it easier when accelerating then you will see a bigger gap between each power train
@ScarDuck14 If what you said was the problem, I would feel and have the same issue in career mode with the Honda engine, which is not the case at all, I even put two engine power upgrade and still hold Gasly behind me on laptime and feel no problem putting the power down, this issue is specific to myteam.
Here even with the Honda engine, Hulk is gaining heaps of time on me, and I'm slower than in an alpha tauri.

@nkzsry9q2v3nI haven't start digging into the files yet, but if F1 22 follow the same trend as 2020 & 2021, the engine which the real teams uses are actually different from the MyTeam ones (at least during their vanilla form), they all became identical when maxed out.
Back in the older games, the MyTeam PU (no matter which brand) actually starts with the exact same stat values as the best engine (which in those cases were Mercedes). The only thing that differentiates the MyTeam & Merc engine were the manufacturer upgrades, unless you picked the Merc, or else you'll have less parts pre-installed in your first season.
The other existed team's PU has their own unique stats and are actually weaker than the player's engine when no part is applied, it was their own manufacturer parts that helps them regaining the advantages. If you look at the performance comparison, you'll actually notice how if you pick Honda/Renault/Ferrari, your PU always starts out stronger than the AI (whose supposedly using the same PU as you) even if you didn't pick any engine related answers from the first interview.
Here's the thing, I'm not sure how much exactly the manufacturer parts alter the characteristic of their PU, it could be that they only gently improve the overall power/torque which made them a lot more forgiving because they already started out as less-torquey than the MyTeam's PU.
We still need more investigating. - 3 years ago
@Apophis-STR I don't know, if it was true then the issue would be mitigated in a championship contender start with only aero/chassis, but I just made the test, the time loss is the same, I also checked the engine and it was the same upgrade wise to all the other tests I did.

You know @Apophis-STR last year, when there was the high was too fast in high speed corners, someone actually pulled out the input data from the ai to show where they gained time, with throttle and all, if we could do the same, we might be closer to an answer.

Guys, there is already a topic with the same subject on the Bug Reports page, some users put examples of this error, help us by commenting on this topic on the Bugs page, follow the link.

It doesn't matter where you write because Bugmasters doesn't answer anyway.

Is it any good? Do you know? - 3 years ago@GamerDH1995 The feedback below the mod says YES! But I haven't had a chance to test it myself.
