Alonso just kept around the same pace. And his final lap wasn't as fast, not cos he had no ERS, but the fact he was battling Russell all lap.
Oh, and yes like most I lost places going down the long straight, which was the same at Baku
I hadn’t mentioned cause my posts are to long as it is. But I do look at all drivers times in race director. And when I see ai drivers who haven’t dramatically sped up. It is always because they are competing with other ai into corners obviously compromising their speed.
I believe the ai speed up is by to design to make last few races more exciting. Not necessarily rubber banding in the true sense. And not scripted to purposely slow your progress. But just to give you more off a challenge. But if it’s the case it shouldn’t happen as often or with such obvious increase off pace and bonkers aggressive at every corner.
