AI gaining Massive Speed on the straights

So frustrating all the advantage I gain on the corners wasted on the straights, and the way AI overtake is crazy, 90% of the times end up colliding.

I have the same issue. I'm playing from few years and that was something new for me. I had AI set on 100 in previous verisons and currently I have can't even catch them on 80 in striaght line.
I thought that was settings with my wheel or drivers and I spend a lot of hours to figure out and that is my suggest.

Please fix it because this game with AI mode is unplayable and unfair.
I'm going back to version 2021(waiting for any update). ☹️

I fully agree. I’ve had to drop my AI level by 15 from previous games just to stand a chance and I’m still not 100% convinced it’s enough. In my team I’m qualifying way way higher than I ever should do in my rubbish car but I have no option because when the race begins I drop down through the order like I’m driving round in a school bus.

In Bahrain I got absolutely murdered on the straights. I thought it was due to me having changed the wing settings a bit. But reading this it made more sense why I was a sitting duck at every straight.

However, I just did a race at Jeddah (My Team) and was not nearly as slow as I was at Bahrain. I was around the same pace as the AI on the long straights, although they did gain some time in the traction zone of the main straight. I had lowered my wings with 5 click or something like that. Will have to see how this plays out at Australia.

The AI are absolutely insane on the straights. On some tracks like Bahrain and Miami even more so and probably other tracks as well but cant remember from the top of my head

I was comfortably racing and winning on F1 2021 with controller and 0 TC on 102 AI difficulty

I lowered it to 100 just to be safe while i learn F1 2022

On my team career i have the best engine with nearly all the power upgrades 6/7 and 5/6 drag reduction on aero and also quite a few weight reduction upgrades

The AI on 100 eat me ALIVE on the straights they are catching me or pulling away while i have ERS, DRS active - its a bloody joke

If i run very low wings - 15-25 range edging towards the lower scope mostly they still catch me easily and pass me and i have to do ridicolous divebombs to even keep up 

This is of course with near maxed tyre pressures, 3-4 ride heights, i have never ever had this issue on F1 2021

Seems like they have insane TC, limitless ERS battery, and running like 0-0 wings or IDK. If i match them on the wings then i struggle in corners as well. It might be a bug which i half expected once EA took over codies

Something needs to be done asap, its taken most of the fun out of the game for me - I am all for a challenge but when Jarno Opmeer gets done on the straights comfortably by the slowest cars you know something is up

Did you testing how AI feeling in grand prix mode or single race ?

Unfortunately I didnt, maybe AI are damaged only in career mode .
