This is a very good tool my friend. But it is very good at calculating AI from lane to lane. To follow a fine-tuned AI for all lanes, with just a few slight corrections up or down, what method do you use? I remember a video in f1 2020 where we had to enter GP mode with a car from Racing Point, track in Spain, and test until we were very close to our teammate in qualifying. This is still valid, is it?
From my side I still have to learn which could be my 'right' AI this year. In F1 2021 I ran a full season with AI 107 being Perez (GP mode), in general I was slightly slower than Max, 3 wins and further 6 podiums in 17 races, not enough to fight for the championship.
In F1 22 I only played at Monza so far, which is probably not too much indicative and which is also one of the tracks where I'm stronger. Theoretically I should be able to fight for the pole at AI 110, but I'm sure it's not my level, besides I still have to train race pace and I heard (H) tyres are really hard to bring to temperature. While in F1 2021 (H) could be avoided, according to the simulated pit stop AI is doing in F1 22 (100% race distance), I think they are a must this year.
Cannot make a full comparison with F1 2021 in Monza, because CM changed a lot the track in a patch making it around 0.4 s. slower at a certain point. My data would suggest I may even increase AI a little bit, but once again Monza is a strange track where F1 22 cars are a bit faster than F1 2021, while I think every other track is slower.
Next step Bahrain, final tests, AI-decision and start of the Championship, to be continued 🙂
Greetings,
Nuv
