Of course it depends on skill and experience. Playing the past games help. Practise makes perfect.
The assists in the past offered stronger values to newcomers. In F1 22 its harder for the newcomer. I dont use any form of TC competitively.
But when it comes to wheelspin, throttle application is very important. The gearing is too but I don't want to over complicate this.
The triggers have a very limited rage (approx 1cm) whereas with the foot pedals there is inches of range. Its much easier to hit the sweetspot.
A wheel user has centimetres to inches.
A pad user has milimetres to centimetres.
Same applies with the braking.
Same applies with the steering.
Basically put, using a wheel against a pad is cheating. Its too easy. Although its not legally cheating. Best description:
Pad user = Realistic Williams
Wheel user = Equal Ferrari/Red Bull.
Also myself, wheel users have linearty settings, saturation etc . Why cant they use them? In my opinion this is a ego complex issue in regards to beating the 110 AI.
Its not an ingame issue its more like a psychological issue.

@You are using them? Seriously
You're doing it wrong? Are you adjusting it in conjunction with car setup?
Could you post up a displayed image, not a link, of your calibration?
Are you new to the series? How long are you playing? Are you oldcore? What about ye ol platypus features? Is he still trolling?
Or did he give it up? Ah, the good ol days, the good ol days!

Are you thinking I've posted to say I personally have an issue with the handling in F1 22? I haven't because I've not bought/played it yet! Understand though that the change re. low gear torque/acceleration is coming following discussion between David Greco and the F1 teams, not because players of F1 22 were complaining. The change was planned pre-launch.
My personal view is that if F1 teams and drivers think it will make the game more realistic then I want it.

I seen the interview with Alex Gillon and David. I think it was you that linked it. It was good, very informative. But to my understanding from watching real F1 poles, Max and Co is slower through the corners and more careful on the throttle upon exit. I feel it is fine but if the majority feels there is an issue then something has to be done. This is bigger than you or I.

Have a search for Lando's views based on actually playing the games and you'll see he clearly views this as an area the games are unrealistically hard. His peddle cam view from Silverstone is informative too.

Lando must be a very heavy footed driver. Tell hime to use the linearty on his pedals or tell his engineer to stiffen/soften the pedal travel.
