AI super aggressive

AI are incredibly aggressive this year, worse than f12021 by a mile. AI ram you if they get squeezed ever so slightly going into the corner, it's happened multiple times to me and a friend.

I've played f1 for years and although f12021 was bad for aggressive ai they weren't nearly as bad as this year. It's almost like they don't sense you being there, they dive for the line like you aren't even there.

If it's your corner and you don't back off they take you out resulting in numerous DNFs. You can't block pass them as they just turn into you, they follow there race line and commit regardless of you being there. They should be letting off if you are ahead before the apex not sending it flat out into you.

The AI is very broken not to mention the incredible corner exit speed and straight line speed.

This has resulted us not being able to continue with 2player career as it's quite simply not fun against cars hitting you. We have gone over the replays to make sure we didn't make a mistake and not once have we done so. The volume of these reports is staggering and it's almost enough for me to stop playing and go back to iracing.

I do understand bugs are a major factor on new releases but releasing AI in that state is completely ridiculous. How did this not get picked up before hand?

  • Couldnt agree more. Im going back to f1 21 until this gets fixed. Completely takes the fun away from the game. Its like you have 2 options when you are fighting an AI. Either give the possision, or get rammed.

  • @Lowmassion I agree, the AI is out of control. What I've also noticed is that, if you have an AI ahead and behind you, the one ahead will literally slow to zero mph going into a corner so you have slam on the brakes, otherwise you hit him, while the one behind will smash you out of the way.

Also, they will sometimes brake test you while in the middle of a corner. It's absolutely insane. Every year they get more aggressive and it's really spoiling things. I got smashed so hard by an AI at Brazil that it span me into the pit lane and, as I have auto pit on, it actually took me into a pit stop. WTF.
  • I 100% agree the ai is wreck less, over powered in straights, dive bomb corners. This game is so broken, it’s unplayable. Since ea took over they made it into demolition derby. Ea should either refund us our money or change the title so we know what we’re buying. I guess this is another one of those games ea ruins and makes sh*t.  Ea do your homework and actually be true to the game

Just got F122 and can't even get off the start, manual starts no TC, without being rammed by the AI and spun.

Even with AI at 0 or 110, there is very little difference, although at 110 I seem to get more successful starts!!  Setting the game to Casual and Amateur, the AI still take off like rocket ships.  And the game is undriveable.

The AI have blindingly quick instantaneous reactions with 0.0 seconds delay and absolutely no wheelspin.  Amazing, but I guess that is AI.  It's read the GP drivers manual and has learnt!!

@Pin6all Sorry dude. They did somewhat slow the Ai in the game. Although it’s not perfect it’s a good opponent to race against. I can only suggest you look up some you tube videos on the game. There’s plenty of YouTube gurus out there giving guides for beginners to pro.

@ScarDuck14 Thanks.  Just tried starts in TT.  Sit in N, rev to 10500 as Marcel, and go.  More bogging down, which is easier to control, but much less wheel spin.  Seems to be completely different set up to the Race situation.

@Pin6allFor race starts I’d just suggest to try and stay out of trouble. Ai off the line are OP. Then they will be fast for first few laps. But they will then slow down and that’s when they are more beatable.

I used Marcel Keifers Videos to help me improve. Settings and setups. Even his 2021 videos are still worth watching

When it comes to Ai. It’s a matter of time on track learning how they race.

@ScarDuck14 Again thanks.  Difficult to keep out of the way when the destruction derby rams from behind!!
