All F1 22 Data Gone after Update (PS5)

Updated to 1.05 earlier today on PS5. Played for a few hours then game crashed after finishing a race. Sent a report about the crash went back into F1 22 and it was as if i had never played the game before. Had to create a new avatar was brought to the screen to buy my first supercar...again. Only thing that seemed to remain was my online rank in podium pass all car liveries, supercars, and character I created are gone

How do i recover lost data?

@mfakos Have you got Ps+ and auto upload to cloud enabled. If you have you may be able to recover your saved game data from cloud: However that’s only if it hasn’t already uploaded and overwritten with any recent data. If it had unfortunately you will have to start over. It’s an odd one. It’s never happened to me.

It has happened though, on all platforms and too often. And not just in F1 22.

Something is amiss - I turned off Steam Cloud as it was about to happen to me (I knew because the screen gamma setting loaded) so I just killed the game and restarted and it worked.

I disabled Steam Cloud right after that and used PC methods for long enough. It isn't infallible however, and it just increases the deviation for your system from the norm.

These are the kind of repetitive issues that have really cheesed me off. But I never really played career as there has for long enough been the risk that a patch will just kill it for you and you have to start over. It's basically about 10% of the game that I ever played and even that's frustrating.

@SteveJacksonThink the reason I’ve not actually had the trouble because I delete my saves and restart after every patch. Which I fully understand most can’t do that. One of the reasons I do my team I like to start from scratch using different starting variations and once ive won both championships and maxed car. 3 seasons most. I start over.

I’m the definition off madness 😁

But the benefit of starting over after every patch. I believe is the reason I’ve not had any issues. 600 hours and game has froze/crashed less than a handful of times.

With big patches I delete game aswell and do fresh install

For as long as patches via internet became a thing…. One thing I know to be true… Codemasters have always sucked at them

I haven’t. After the third time I quit playing.
