Hello. I worked on some of these features and can confirm the haptic feedback is exclusive to DualSense. This isn't our decision, other controllers simply don't support haptics in the way the DualSense does. You'll find the vibrations on things like surfaces feel a lot more granular than they do on other platforms. The controller speaker functions will work on PS4 and PS5 controllers, again this feature isn't available on other controllers. As for the resistive triggers, this is nothign to do with my work but once again they are exclusive to the PS5 controller so other platforms will not provide this feature.

@REDRA-11 You're better off tagging EA and Codemasters staff here like @EA_Kent or shooting them a tweet.The Impulse Triggers isn't really comparable. The Xbox controller uses a rumble motor on the triggers, the same kind it has on the handles. It's just rumble. The adaptative triggers of the Dualsense actually increases and decreases tension and can create distinct pressing stages or stops along trigger travel.The same with the haptics. Xbox controllers still uses standard rumble motors:Its an asymmetrically weighted contraption that produce vibrations when it spins. The Dualsense use a kind of voice coil actuator:Like this on the inside:It's a coil that will produce vibration corresponding to the current that passes through it. It's that much different from how a headphone or speaker works.The amplitude and precision are considerably greater. Just think of how it actually needs some time for the rumble pack to get going and to stop completely on a regular controller, whereas with a voice coil/resonant actuator you can play with it instantaneously. Better yet, the haptics and feed on the audio engine of the game – so quite literally a headphone, but producing vibrations instead of sound.All in all, I won't count on it. Will probably have good feedback but I don't think they can be equated.

@Ultrasonic_77 actually OP did ask "Are they available when using any of these controllers on PC as well?" and EA_Kent answer says or at least implies no.

Hi Brad, I played F1 2020 and F1 2021 on PC via Steam using PS5 Dualsense Controller. I can confirm via wired connection the haptics and adaptive triggers worked in game same as on the PS5 versions of those games. However, on the Origin versions of the games on PC, they didn't. So I tried F1 22 via Origin/EA App (both apps) with EA Play PRO, it didn't work. Then I bought EA Play for Steam, and downloaded the trial version. In Steam, the f1 22 game says 'partial controller support' as opposed to previous 2 versions which had 'full controller support'. Can you let me know if the support will be added? I don't understand why it hasn't been implemented. It's really lacking to play without these features @EA_Kent @issueskid13 could you please look into this?

@issueskid13 Erm new engineer guy tells me to either SPEAK or select the option I want. From the mfd. So I assume that means voice control is now available on PS5. 😜😇

@issueskid13 I use ps5 controller on my pc and haptic feedback work well but resistive triggers doesn't :/ It will be added on the next update or ☹️ ?

So interesting enough this only works when hardwired into the PC. Bluetooth is a no go for me. Any others?
