Are you excited about the upcoming F1 22 manager game?

First up, I dont know if I'm allowed  to talk about this on the EA boards. Its made by Frontier developments. Maybe they're an affiliate company.

Anyways, I was wondering what is the feelings of  F1 22 community? Are you looking forward to it or will you bother with it?

The features seem good but it would be cool if it was made in conjuction with EA's F1 series.

It would be good if we could run  race strategies on it and then apply it within the EA racing game.

For the likes of JD (Limitless F1 previously TRL Limitless) who works on race strategy, it could benefit league racing. They could gleam info and use it in game.

A kinda like a sim racer AI for a sim racer.

From what I have seen of it, it looks good but I think I would miss the driving aspect. Being honest I wont buy new, money is tight for all of us in these very insane times, but maybe later in the year when it becomes cheaper.

What do you think about it all?  Excited?

@ALittleTiger7 I was a bit too poor to get the all proper setup to play AC lol, I heard it's quite a nightmare to play it with a pad.

For the F1 manager game, I guess it all depends on how easy/friendly it is to modding. Our F1 game has quite a bit of limitation on livery modding for example, and the community is relatively small tbh.

But, to my knowledge, you can't drive in it. Think more Toto Wolff than Lewis Hamilton.

If I buy it, can I be Gunther Steiner?

AC was floaty with the pad but not too bad. Good game with a wheel I'd imagine.

Could you end up in legal trouble if you messed about with the wrong stuff?

@ALittleTiger7  No you can’t drive in it… But it will make my team look so basic.  When it comes to team management

@ALittleTiger7For Race Department, I think as long as you are not simply ripping then share contents from other games (like ripping stuff from 2021 then put them in 2022) or sharing the monetized items (such as the champion edition driver models) then you should be fine.

If it's only for personal use you can basically do anything except going multiplayer, which the server won't let you in anyways.

    Will you be D1'er?

It seems like you know what you're at with the modding. A few years ago Youtube was introducing some sort of laws regarding UGC content.
We know little or nothing about modding but a lot like it and are very interested in it.

@ALittleTiger7Well the rules are set by the forum at Race Department and they're pretty swift at taking down whatever violates them, usually most modders know what they can or cannot post publicly

  • @Apophis-STR oh I see, they RD know the legal ins and outs. You could never be careful enough. There is eyes everywhere, even in your own head. I dont do that youtube or streaming, facebook etc. Its great to know that you got your back covered a little bit.

Race department, I think I heard of it. A lot of spyware and malware around there or so the rumour goes. Do you know them well, like in person? Be careful in there Apophis.

@ALittleTiger7 The place is quite safe I would say, it's well moderated by the community itself and if something sketchy did pops up it got taken down very quickly.
  • @Apophis-STR Thats good news. At least you modders are safe but you could never be careful enough. The internet is crazy place. Everyone hiding on a screen, looking at a screen.
You might think you are communicating with people elsewhere but in reality you could be talking to your neighbours.
