I'm having this issue as well. I'm on PS4. Automatic shift does not shift up "automatically". It drags the gear for a second until it shifts up or the user shifts up manually. This effect is immensely affecting gameplay, as performance and lap times are affected. This was confirmed to be brought up regressively through 1.06 update, as I played 2 days ago in the same circuit (I used the Mid-Game save) and there is a big difference in playability. Especially when driving a Mercedes. Must get fixed ASAP, please CodeMasters. The auto gear transmission was a lot better on V1.05.
