I'm not exactly sure why this was changed tbh, it was better pre-patch. It's not like auto-gears was some sort of cheat in the game, it was faster to use manual gears before.
Maybe something to do with making short shifting not as effective?
@Nylink It has probably something to do with the new fix they implemented to this patch with the "ICE/MGU-H wear rate reduced to be less punishing while using automatic transmission", as I don't see any other reason why Automatic Assist would be affected. Regression issues are bound to happen every now and then when fixing stuff. Unfortunately, this time fixing that one issue created another.
