Baku is chews me up this year

Last year I was the GOAT at  Baku. Absolutely loved every lap I did.

But this doesn’t matter what stage off development my. My Team car is at.  Or what mode I run the game in 60 or120.    It feels as though the braking and turning points are different every lap.  Plus it feels really narrow compared to last year.   

Baku had lots of bizarre issues when game launched dancing barriers that launched cars into orbit.   Random bumps in the road.   Which were all fixed:  

Im not fastest driver.  But I am super consistent on every track.. tyre and traffic dependent  I consistently lap within 3 tenths in a race.  except Baku  I’m a mess up to a second difference between laps at times.  Im at a loss

    @ScarDuck14 There are some tracks where 51 brake bias is King.
    Run a qualification lap with each and the time difference should be obvious and if it's not then I have a downforce issue.

    @mariohomoh Fingers are holding up. It’s the eyes…. Well the right one anyway. I’ve found all the street circuits more challenging this year. Which makes me think with one eye being dominant reducing my depth perception. With the walls being so close and not being able to see further up the track is the issue. As I don’t have any problems on PROPER tracks like Spa, Mondays and Silverstone.

    @ScarDuck14 hmmm... So clockwise tracks work fine for you, but anti-clockwise tracks are giving you a hard time?

    The day you start firing at Interlagos will be the day I'll stop XPing you.

    @mariohomoh Imola causes a few issues hitting the apex but nothing major.

    Interlagos on the other hand. I could drive it blind. Been racing round it since Jeff crammond gave the world the first Grand Prix. Back then Brazil was first race off the season and being a kid and not very good. I spent all day every racing round it. Same for Spa. They were the first two tracks in a racing game I mastered. And I think both off the tracks are pretty much the same now as they were over 30 years ago

    @ScarDuck14 let us watch a lap from you 😉

    In theory Baku is not that hard for the tyres, quite easy to keep low temps, besides you probably run on (M) + (H). Unless you have a bad entry in the many 90° corners which characterize the track IMHO, if you go wide it can get tough on the tyres 😬

    @NuvolarixTyre temps are surface only so not a problem. Pretty sure it’s a perception issue. Having thought about it.

    @ScarDuck14 Try 51 brake bias or increase both wings by six.
    Turn in gets messed up cause there is not enough front brake has been my experience and who knows might just help.

    @ScarDuck14 Same here mate. This year i struggle in Baku, especially in S2. It is something strange tho, cause on many tracks i am consistent for let's say my level but here and sometimes Singapore it''s something weird. Sounds like a Spain story 🙂 Maybe in F1 23 i will not struggle on some tracks. Even tho i think it's somehow normal, even in real life drivers are struggling on some tracks to find the right balance and etc.

    @HempyjrSame same. During qualifying I was fastest in S1&S3 by 3 tenths. S2 nearly half second off the pace.

    In race it was where I was losing time.

    And Singapore it’s S3.

    @BadMayh3m  yep braking isn’t great.

    @ScarDuck14In Baku, Castle area is killing me from turn 8 to 12, there i lose a lot of time and i really don't understand how, cause for me it seems that i drive fastest as i can in that area. In Singapore i lose time in turn 13 for sure, i don't have an entire sector problem but i am not consistent somehow. Maybe the problem in Baku and Singapore are setup related? Tho i tried many tweeks but nothing seems to work all around. I fix one problem and another one appears 🙂
