@RokzZzReign F1 mobile editor was added shortly before 22 was released. So we or I did get a bit excited fully expecting it to be in this game
However after lasts years liveries. I had all off them. But only a few were usable. This year at least most are usable and we atleast get paint finish choice now.
So a little happier. But far from good enough. And agree with having more sponsor options and different number font and colours
also shift one and two had great editors.. why was made by slightly mad studios.. who codemasters bought. And published by ea who obviously bought codemasters. So they have a livery editor in there somewhere.. and it’s probably being used to make the livery options we get😂
@ScarDuck14Shift 1 & 2...? Those two were probably the worst (actual) livery editor I've ever used. They were hilariously buggy, no mirror option, no option to save your design, no position guides, very limited shape options...it was extremely difficult to use.
The only redeemable factor was how you can place decals on the windows...but those were very limited as well.
The only revolutionary editor at that time was Forza 2 -> 3, and since then only the current GT7 editor could top it, the rest of the industry was still 20+ years behind...we don't even have something like the Shutokou Battle Zero One & Racing Battle C1 GP from the early 2000s lol...

You could mirror in one.. couldn’t in 2. Am easily pleased: I’m a PlayStation fanboy so never played forza. At the time it was the best one I had used. And compared to this one its better

@ScarDuck14Oh you could in 1? My bad impression of them is deceiving me then (the game itself was fun, just when you compare their livery editor with something like Forza...they were just, bad.).
The one thing I like the most about Forza (3-4 in specific) was not just how the shapes and layer count they provided could create some really bonker designs, but how they have the blank canvas option to make the designing process much easier. Then there's the option to share you works with the storefront feature...that was the absolute peak of community related feature at the time, nothing even come close until GT Sport & GT7.- RokzZzReign3 years agoRising Traveler

Good times. I'm a forza painter & have hundreds of hours spent creating decals & liveries through the years. Pretty sure I've spent more time designing cars than actually race them since recent titles have been the same old same old haha.
I got into the F1 games not too long ago & as you can imagine the disappointment in the lack of customization compared to other racing games was immense.
