I think we all know why we haven't gotten an custom livery creator still (so they can push microtransactions), but can we at least have the option to place the sponsor logos anywhere on car, resizing and rotation? Such a simple thing like that can go a long way, there's no harm in it & you can still get your microtransaction money through liveries.Also, why can't we use the official F1 sponsors on our cars? Feels so out of place without "Pirelli" logo somewhere on car for example.You have your couches & whatnot to sell now, so maybe give up the liveries & give us freedom to be creative.Thanks.

I think the custom livery creator was even announced in the old Codemaster forums. I was really looking forward to it. But I knew that when EA takes over, there will be minimal changes each year. From now on it is no longer about the gaming experience, only about maximum profit.

@RokzZzReign Agreed. Same concept with Helmets. Look at what they had in GT7 with liveries - that is absolutely amazing.

MOTO GP comes to mind too when thinking of freedom of customization. It should've been a thing years ago & if it takes a bit of work to do, well then, they should do it because they've had enough time & it's their job? It would probably be quite a bit of work to get that coded but i agree its needed.What for me would also help a lot and should in theory be easier than complete freedom of the sponsor spots is to be able to have different finishes for sponsors and all helmet colors - hate this years helmets so much - and also the car number (which we should be able to change the color of)..Ideally also car number font a few choices:- outline for sponsors and numbers (like Ferrari white 16 for Leclerc, yellow 55 for Sainz while the number itself is black)- whether we want a sponsor on our helmet or not- As you said Pirelli and engine supplier logos- Sponsors with not only a name as a logo but actual logos like Red Bull, Shell, Petronas - obviously we cant get those but just like them actual logos and not just a nameBut yeah heres lots to improve..

@RokzZzReign F1 mobile editor was added shortly before 22 was released. So we or I did get a bit excited fully expecting it to be in this gameHowever after lasts years liveries. I had all off them. But only a few were usable. This year at least most are usable and we atleast get paint finish choice now. So a little happier. But far from good enough. And agree with having more sponsor options and different number font and colours also shift one and two had great editors.. why was made by slightly mad studios.. who codemasters bought. And published by ea who obviously bought codemasters. So they have a livery editor in there somewhere.. and it’s probably being used to make the livery options we get😂

@RokzZzReign Really missed the Forza 3 & 4 days, the community was just so active, and the dev actually paid a lot of care and promote us fellow painters.

Livery editor in general (of the industry) had gone quite stagnant, no one except Polyphony atm seems to care about stepping up their game at all.

By forza 3-4 I assume you mean the motorsport series right? If so then I totally agree mate. FM4 was the peak of the forza experience. All forza games are good, but lacking creativity recently. The Gran Turismo guys are definitely the creative ones out there. They have their own formula 1 like cars & make their own crazy beefed up rally cars from cars you can see being rally monsters. Very creative bunch.
Imagine Forza or GT got their hands on the F1 license... holy mother.

@RokzZzReignYea the motorsport series, from FM5 onward they've dropped so many things from past games that I just could no longer feel as attach to them as before...even with the massively increase layer count in the editor.

I always like how GT series has so many fictional race cars, the Polyphony guys are really liberate with their imagination, basically like materializing what we imagine as kids.

Oh you want a Group B style Impreza, sure.
How about an NSX rally car, yes!

And they actually made it in a way that make sense.

@Apophis-STR Agreed. From FM5 onwards it's been a bit meh. Horizon series added more customization options but still lacking a lot imo. GT was left behind for a while but they've catched up with DRS active loo.
Either way, both are miles ahead of Codemasters stuff. They should learn a thing or 2 from them. Or better yet, give up the F1 license.

Look at the huge difference a simple tool makes. It most definitely can be easily done. Are they just too lazy to do it though? Most likely.
