Big difference between normal and hard difficulty

I originally had my AI difficulty set to 35, and I was ruining the rest of the AI with my brand new car.. So I put it the difficulty to 60, and came stone dead last in the next qualifying and race. I moved the difficulty down to 55, and I'm coming first again.

Just curious if anyone else has noticed this, or if this is supposed to be how it is?

  • It does depend on what mode your playing. Setting the ai is trial and error.  But what you should be looking for is to set the ai difficulty in relation to where the team your driving for is in the rankings.

for instance team is Ferrari look at your teammates laps times on medium tyres  during  practice.  For every second he’s faster than you reduce ai by ten and for every second your faster increase by ten.   Then slightly adjust to suit yourself. If you want to be faster decrease ai by a couple off points

@LexyPotato104 Same track or different track? On different tracks this is expected and could be called "normal behaviour". It's not actually normal but a well known issue of the F1 series
