Can’t Apply Sponsors/Halo Stickers to Crescent Livery

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Go to customisation, car liveries, find the crescent livery and try to customise it.
What happens when the bug occurs? A little message appears saying something along the lines of ‘sponsors cannot be applied to this livery.’
What do you expect to see? The ability to put sponsors and halo stickers on the crescent livery.

So, I don’t know if this issue has been raised much/at all on this forum, but it certainly has on others. The singular good player car livery that the developers added into this game sadly got completely ruined and made basically useless, by disallowing the option to add sponsors and halo stickers. 
Why? 
It’d be nice to hear if the developers are looking into this at all, because it truly is one of the best liveries in the game, and it was made useless by something so weird. Was this a decision by someone to disable this function, or is it really just a bug that somehow hasn’t been fixed. Like, why can’t the coding for the sponsor application be the same as for all the other liveries (same for halo stickers)? 

Would like to hear where the developers are at with this one.
