Can we expect more track changes for the BETA tracks in the release version?

The tracks are nicely improved, lots of nice chanes for COTA and some for Austria. The new physics model is also great, not allowing you to jump over the kerbs.

But the one thing that is still not perfect, with COTA for example, is that most of the kerbs are still not high/big enough for it to punish you for going over it. Some orange kerbs are waaay too flat compared to real life, and since it's flat, you can just drive over them.

I'll link a few pictures of my examples, the most notable corners where the kerbs are way too flat is T1, the S turn kerbs seem a bit flat (but it's not as bad as other corners, so it's fine), T8+T9, T15 (not as bad though), and last turn, easily the flattest and worst one.

And from Austria too, just this one because the sausage kerb is hilariously small in the game, but also there's a blurred line on the kerb, which seems like it needs fixing.

And this is not the video by the way, because this happends on every lap.

This might seem like nit-picking, but it really isn't. As I said, it's nice that the refined physics model no longer allow you to jump over big kerbs, but what's the point of that if the track is not accurate to real life, and the kerbs are in the game are flat?

I really hope the tracks get updated, Austria needs a lot of changes too, and hopefully the tracks not in the beta are also changed for the better. But my question is, will these BETA tracks be updated before the official release? I really hope so.

Unfortunately its not that simple, as even for the smallest change like this, i would expect the A.I would need to be retrained to take a different line at different speed etc…

its not as simple as move the cerb and paint the track

Yeah it must be really hard for a company like EA that literally paid $1.3 Billion for Codemasters, to fix something as hard as this.......

@FG44141 They dont want to spend any money thats not necessary to spend.. Look at FIFA and how much its actually changes each year.. It doesnt because the fanbase isnt too bothered by it

@Ultrasonic_77 Yeah same apart from this castle section, Baku has one other problem that I think is important to fix. It's actually one corner before the castle section, and the problem is the kerb is too flat, here's a picture:

In real life, drivers, and Leclerc doesn't even touch the kerb with their inner wheels, simply because the kerb is pretty high, and would make the car unsettle. However, in the game, the kerb is waay too flat, and you can just drive straight through it, like it's not there. This of course creates an "esports-driver racing line", which I'm pretty sure the devs don't really want, so they need to increase the height of the kerb in order to fix.

Apart from this, the track is perfect. They done a great job fixing Turn 1.

I think if we take impact and time investment in perspective, the other tracks that should be changed are Hungary and Austria.

All Hungary needs is the new chicane, some double-layered, and it would be perfect.

And Austria only needs the double-layered kerbs, and also the bigger sausage kerb after T1 that I showed in my pictures previously.

I feel like these tracks would be a very easy fix, they could even do it before release if they wanted to. But I'm sure EA is still asking the devs right now to paint boxers in every color, just so that it can be sold for 3 dollars.

    Hey @Blackbird90

You're always welcome to share feedback on the game here. We'll be passing along player feedback as we see it.

The more detail you can include in your feedback, the better. I may not always be able to come back with a detailed response from the dev team, but I'm always happy to pass feedback along.

@EA_Kent Thanks for the response to the post.

I would like to ask a question about the team that works on tracks.

Are they going to fix/change the existing tracks like Monza, Canada, Baku etc. (the tracks that are not accurate in the game). Or can we only expect changes for the next years game?

Because if they would fix the existing tracks this year, and it would also get passed over to the team, then I would make a seperate post and highlight the things that need to be changed more clearly.
