Car stuck after leaving the track

Has anyone of you ever had the problem that the car is stuck after leaving the track involuntarily and is slightly damaged somewhere? But not that it isn't still drivable, even with a little light orange wing damage. The reverse gear has no function (You can put it in but the engine only revs up. And once it was the same in first gear) and you will then be disqualified for not moving the car. 😕

That happened twice today in Austria. Once in practice session (then I was disqualified last) and after that in the race too.

That can only be a bug. Played F1 22 on a PS5.

Interesting. Did not had this in 2021 before in such frequency. Only once I ended up on a curb and was stuck. Thanks for the clarification.

But at least in qualifying, if I already set a round time, I should not be disqualified. And in Race the same, that would be a DNF not a DSQ. Something is at least wrong here.

You can use the option to reset to track. Which will stop you being disqualified.

  • I haven't got the game yet, but I have read that in F1-22 you can actually "beach" your car in gravel traps, ...so you're stuck, ...as in real life!

Is this what may have happened to you?

@IcmanMUC Like in real life you can get stuck in the gravel or beached by a kerb if the rear end is not touching the ground.

Good idea! Never used this option but for that case it’s the best option.

it's like cheating, if you are stuck it should be race over.

  • If you race with others that’s totally correct. But if I practice a race for my own it is a valid option.

Yes this is something that David Greco highlighted prior to launch would be more of a thing this year. In principle the upside should be more in a reduction in people abusing curbs unrealistically compared to real life.

Not using a curb and then got stuck. The curb was under the middle of the car and the wheels rotated freely without touching the road. So no chance to get off and end the race any more. But that happened to me only one in F1 2021.
