Cars should have more downforce in high speed corners

I get that the F1 22 cars have less grip at low speeds due to their relying on the ground effect to generate downforce. But in Silverstone and Spa (specifically at Copse and Pouhon corners) I've noticed drivers taking the high speed corners pretty much flat-out. Just look at Sainz pole lap in Belgium with a tiny little lift (not even tapping the brakes) at 300kmp/h). Also, Verstappen fastest lap in Belgium was faster then the 110% AI. The cars need to get better at high speeds.

  • @TH_Sharpshooter Ai are slow at high speed corners simply to even out how fast they are accelerating out off slow corners.. 2 wrongs don’t make a right and I’d prefer to have the ai balanced properly throughout the lap. But that means retraining the ai for every track and if Codemasters started now they won’t be finished before 23 is due to be launch. So it was I’ll be quick fix’s a nerf here and a buff there.

As for downforce through high speed corners. Most people myself included don’t have issues there. Most issues people struggle with and complain about is not enough traction through anc out off slow corners.

And did Max beat everyone in qualifying by a second.. Max is Max he’ll beat the ai no matter how fast it is. And I hate he’s so good. But right now he has no equal

Are you saying that you can't take these corners in the same way in F1 22? If so this may well be setup related...

@Ultrasonic_77 I run low downforce and I assumed most people did. The fast corners require very little steering angle. So a soft suspension setup for kerbs. Added front camber to help turn in and grip in the high speed Corners then it’s just about finding the optimal deceleration point before your turning point to be silky smooth And precise with steering angle you can stamp back on the power and accelerate through multiple corners at spa: One off those tracks where you set speed for first corner to be fast through the following.

Spa has always been my best and favourite circuit ever since Grand Prix 1 days
