China and Portugal
Why aren't China and Portugal included in the actual game after being advertised in the features trailer? You can see them both here on this video https://youtu.be/YgOi41qmlc4?t=94
Hi @Camza2013 ,
Both China and Portugal aren't on the calendar this year. That's why they are not in the game.
The build shown on the video was an early build (probably the calendar wasn't even announced). The game is constantly evolving to look more like real life F1 Championship.
You can also see that the cars are completely different now.
People like you are the worst. Those tracks were originally planned but were cancelled due to covid. China and Portugal are literally not on the calendar whatsoever, why on earth would they be included in an official F! game?
China wasn't on the calendar either last year and was still in the game. That excuse doesn't really stick. Pretty sure you guys didn't make the Portimão track just for one game.

That's exactly what happened with Vietnam though.
@Meza994 covered my guess: Portimao and Shanghai will be post launch DLC, free or paid for.
Edit: China was in the last game because of Braking Point.
Thank you for the answer.
However I do not believe that is the actual truth. As the Chinese GP was cancelled for 2022 back in October 2021 which was when the official 2022 calendar was announced (without China or Portugal) yet they included on the this list of tracks in the video meanwhile the Russian GP was cancelled on 1st March 2022 and is missing from the list. So unless you are telling me that the early build was from before October 2021 and you somehow managed to predict that the Russian GP would be cancelled, you are just simply incorrect.
If I were to have a guess why they are missing from the game now it would be due to someone's bright idea of instead of giving them away for "free" they could charge extra for them later down the line.
Yes I did notice that the cars are completely different now but that happens every year with the trailers
I know you want to make the game as real as possible...... An example is that the incorrect tire rules are correct in this F1 22. You can choose up to 7 tire sets for the race, you don't have to just return them all anymore tires used in free practice. So we can take two medium and two hard for example. I hope this is fixed urgently as the race strategies are very restricted like that.
Yeah exactly, it was an early build but it's featured in the launch trailer with all the final car models.
Looking kinda sus, @EA_Hux .
So in post 4 of this thread the EA guy has just confirmed Portugal will not be in this years game at all even by DLC by what he says as they are 'not on the calendar'
"The game is constantly evolving to look more like real life F1 Championship."
Is this why supercars are part of the game?
I hope boss person in the EA in game micro extreme monetisation milk you for all your worth and paid dlc and bungee jumping department. Either saw or heard how quickly everyone from YouTube influencers to us got super excited over fake news and realises we are willing to be milked and milked for every track that guy put up🤣. Well I am cause this year’s roster isn’t my favourite and I really really miss Portugal
So I take it then from this logic we won't see either Hockenheim or Nurburgring in the game at any point? Is this a decision that the developers made or are they subject to what the FIA/Formula 1 have to say in regards to what tracks are in the game or not?
That's great and all that there is this push to make the game as real as possible to the current F1 season. But what I would really like to have is the German tracks, and Portimao in the game and during the second year of My Team or whatever other career mode, is to adjust the schedule to my preference to include such tracks.

We can speculate but no players posting here actually know.
@heartcell I still cannot understand why neither off the legendary German tracks are not on the actual F1 roster. But stupid pop up road circuits like Miami are. I know I know money and capitalising on increased interest in the USofA.
But as I said in previous post if CM decide to add a decent amount off tracks. Both German tracks have been popular fun races in the game. Not to mention may get increased sales in Germany. Even for gamers it’s always great racing at your home gp.
That said I doubt cm will add as many tracks as we’d be willing to buy simply cause how long it would take to train the ai
@ScarDuck14 I can understand that if CM were to add a German track it would be only one due to the amount of time and other circumstances and that's fine.
The China and Portugal tracks though...they were in the game last year and are not included, so far, in this years game and I don't understand why. The argument that some mod gave that they are not on this years schedule is crap. Maybe I am asking for too much, but I haven't been very pleased with EA since Nov. of last year.
