Choosing teammate in F2 when signing for a team

I’d love to be able to chose what teammate to race with in F2 for career mode… purely because I want to use Ticktum’s Carlin as that livery looks absolutely amazing and we don’t need another red bull...

    Nevermind in just F2, should be in F1 as well.   At any stage of career mode we should have the option to join a team with whichever teammate we want.  Or at least be able to negotiate our contract with that team to be the first or second driver while being aware who we're replacing.

    I get it, drivers can't pick their teammate.  We covered that well on the old boards; but this is a game at the end of the day.  Let the player play their career mode how they want.   If we can't give the player free control over driver lineup for their team (and others would be nice to have too!) then at least build it into the contract negotiation mechanics.  When playing Driver Career mode many of my decision on what team to join will be based on partnering up with a certain driver as a teammate, right now you can't do that.  It's frustrating.   So give us the option when doing contracts.  Rather than just negotiating a price go back to the old days where part of your negotiation was also being first or second driver and show the existing drivers in the team order so you know who you'll be replacing.  If your "acclaim" isn't high enough; maybe they won't take you as D1 and that's fine; at least you'll have earned that D1 spot.  But if I can be 1 and take a contract at 2 I'll earn less cash and that's on me if I'm willing to fill the roll as second driver.  

    There's got to be a better way than the random nonsense we've had the last few years.
